One of a series of three decks, all done in Powerpoint for The Direction Group for their client Visa CyberSource - this one was shown at a financial event in Dublin and was required to show key points for enough time to digest while being visually appealing. I worked with the brilliant creative team at Direction Group to bring their lovely, clean designs to life.

I’ve just finished these as a base for some work - all done in Powerpoint. The lines don’t render fantastically in a PPT show as they blow the Powerpoint brain a bit, but exported as a movie file, they’re lovely and smooth! Click HD below the video for better results.

A 2D, 10 second ident I recently produced in Powerpoint for portfolio purposes - made from around 20 slides and all graphics created inside PPT.

A better showreel
I’ve been working in-between trips to the States and related work in the UK, on a decent showreel, all created in Powerpoint to show the type of Powerpoint work I do. It’s not a five minute job to get some examples and put them together to music and then, when the final one is ready, it’s a minefield on where to host it to where it can be downloaded and viewed.
At the moment, It’s only being sent around via WeTransfer but as soon as I find a decent place to host, I’ll put it here and I’ll also create one for my Keynote work too.

Powerpoint: a very basic graph on a cluttered slide was supplied with a brief to highlight the rise over 20 years of regional low-cost airline growth. I put a neat build on to show the cluster of latecomers to the market.

Powerpoint: Once maps were inserted, the rest of the work was all done in Powerpoint and each line animates independently for a really good effect.

Powerpoint: These are much better shown in a decent moving environment as each circle comes in within an animation before fading away to reveal the final splash. Let me know if you'd like to me to share you a few slides on SlideShark...

Photoshop: Design, layout and retouch for general brand collateral. I sourced various, suitable images and retouched in the brand-name to give a vintage feel to the brand and to hit the target market.

InDesign: The fantastic photo library at Massey was a great starting point for these credentials. After my designs were approved, I chose complementary colours for the layouts, edited and re-wrote some of the text to keep it as even as possible...and loved every minute of using these wonderful images!

Photoshop: Ad for Sweet Magazine. I worked with client and photographer using a huge blackboard, firstly as the background to the cake and then to lay everything out on to shoot from above. My chalk writing needed a boost and we were short on the dimensions with a bit of a perspective issue too so we went to retouch. I added top and bottom with the addition and moving of a couple of bits to make the final ads. And with the background being blackboard, I could easily work in some chalk smudges!

Illustrator: These early web portal designs were used in the mid-late 2000s for an intranet site. I wanted to keep them clean and simple yet informative and intuitive and they had to be built with a migration to Flash in mind. All created in Illustrator.
