Why do we have the most amazing beef jerky at the Outpost you ask? Around 4 years ago @jay.barre went through Bishop, CA and stopped at @mahoganysmokedmeats - Since that visit they have packaged smoked meats for us. We have been part bike shop, part Rogue Journeymen and part documentary film production operation lately. @theweirdroad has been directing and working tirelessly on a short TCO / @roguejourneymen film for our marketing use. We saw some outtakes and it’s already incredible. A few couple more days of filming and it will head to the editor. Today was a sound day with the sound dude. The Carrizo Plain National Monument is miles of upon miles of exploring floral this moment. After camping in the Los Padres National Forest we headed to the Carrizo Plain to ride bikes around and stop to smell the flowers for #unpredictyourwednesday If you can skip work immediately and go there is the most spectacular super bloom you may ever experience. Topanga Canyon is closed once again from “downtown” Topanga to the PCH due to mudslides so please plan to visit us via the 101 from Woodland Hills. We really try to keep it in perspective. Having a little cabin surrounded by the Santa Monica Mountains in the heart of the @santamonicamountainsnps recreation area has all the upswings we could want We have amazing trails out our door, beauty in every direction and the joys of nature every day. But all of this is balanced with mudslides, fire evacuations and the occasional mountain lion stalking us on a Saturday ride.
