Earning my Civil Engineering from Rohini College of Engineering and Technology (RCET), the best engineering college in the Kanyakumari district, provided me with numerous benefits and opportunities. 

In this program, I gained tremendous knowledge about varied facets of Engineering. The classes are full of challenging cases, promote critical thinking and provide the students with every chance to build a robust skill set applicable to many engineering careers paths. The professors provide us with real-world examples of how the concepts we are learning in class are being applied in the engineering world. These connections show us that we are learning practical skills which we will use in the future.  My favourite place on the Campus is the hostel. I love my hostel. Mainly the hostel warden is very helpful for our all matters in the hostel. Warden is a little strict but I think the students must follow the rules. Another speciality is hostel food. We all heard about some kind of hostel food that we couldn’t eat. But here in RCET hostel, the food level is extraordinary. They didn’t compromise in food quality and quantity. Hello, friends I’m Balvinder from Silchar, Assam

Once I got admission in Rohini College of engineering and technology, one of the top 10 engineering colleges in Kanyakumari district, the worrying factor for me was whether I could continue my sports.

I was an average student but a better sportsman. Initially I was wondering how I got admission on RCET. I have heard that it’s one of the top 10 engineering college in Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu.

Being from Silchar, a small town in Assam and an average student rejected by many other colleges I was happy to get an admission in RCET, the best engineering college in Kanyakumari district. As I reached the college i understood that it’s not just the academics that the college management takes to consideration. They also go through our other skills before completing the admission procedure. This made me more excited as I finally reached the right hands where my dream of being a footballer can be achieved.

The college has a large and beautiful ground with all the facilities for sports. We used to participate in university matches and other inters college matches. The coaching staff and other personals are very supportive. The management also conducts inter college competition with great enthusiasm.

Our college team used to participate in local matches during holidays and during vocations. The lectures are also supportive and always remind us that academics is also important. They give us extra care and help to achieve good marks. Being an average student it was of great help to me.

Rohini College of Engineering & Technology - INHOUSE MINI PROJECT EXPO 2020

The inhouse Mini Project Expo 2020 organized by Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering of RCET with an aim of providing a platform for students to exhibit their talents. This would encourage student’s curiosity and creativity.

The function was inaugurated by Honorable chairman Shri.K.Neela MArthandan and it was presided over by Managing Director Dr.Neela Vishnu, Chief Financial Officer Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal of RCET ,Heads of Department, Teaching and Non-Teaching Faculty.

Apart from their curriculum, to gain practical knowledge about the Electrical Sciences this expo was conducted. Projects like Home Automation by Speech, Smart Road System, UltraSonic Blind Walking Stick,Heartbeat Sensor,EH tracker,Li-Fi, etc.,

The projects of the students were judged and evaluated by the respected faculty expertise of the department on the basis of performance, quality, social responsibility, innovative idea and implementation strategy of the project. With much enthusiasm, students explained their work with the help of a presentation and then demonstrated the project, which took the judges to the world of Electrical Science. Good interactions between the judges and team members made students to know about different emerging technologies in various fields.

The best three projects were awarded on the day of Symposium RONIX 2K20.This act as a great motivation for the upcoming engineering graduates.

The function has been a result of good hard work done by the finishing school students who showed good enthusiasm to display their projects. The function generated a high degree of excitement and participation in the faculty and students of the college with the aim of providing a platform for students to exhibit their talents. This would encourage student’s curiosity and creativity.

The Central library has been built to International standards, centrally air-conditioned, well-protected with fire alarm, CCTV and 3M-book security system. Sports Annexes

RCET emphasizes the importance of sports and considers it an integral part of the curriculum to create a healthier environment. Athletics events are conducted on the sports day.
