People harassed Tyler and Josh until they were literally forced to give a statement. I seriously cannot believe that people who listen to their music and KNOW what they advocate actually think they would hate anybody for who they are. I can’t believe anyone thinks it’s acceptable to harass anybody via social media. Calling someone homophobic because they didn’t speak out about yesterday’s Supreme Court decision fast enough & threatening them by saying they’ll lose your support if they don’t tweet something within your demanded time frame is cruel. Believe it or not, some people choose to not put everything on a social platform. I hope the clique can be a safe place for everyone INCLUDING Tyler & Josh. Slandering their name because you want them to answer you is not okay. I feel awful that they had to see all that hate & that it affected Tyler’s frame of mind. Love won yesterday and people still chose to spread hate. Anyways, congratulations to everyone who sent them hate and finally got their response AND I hope you’re sending an apology their way right now.

there’s always going to be two sides to the clique: those who jump at any/every chance to see the band as a problematic duo and those who understand that everything isn’t black and white. 

i don’t think tyler is being shady. I’m pretty sure he’s understanding his own limitations in personal experiences regarding the LGBTQA community and realizes that sometimes it is smarter/kinder to not speak rather than share an opinion on something he doesn’t identify with.

don’t be quick to throw him and josh under the bus as “problematic straight white boys”. the clique should know better than most that every emotion/action is much deeper than what is shown at face value.

Okay but

Tyler and Josh were literally attacked all day? Like are people just ignoring how much shit they got for not saying anything? You’re all acting like the fans politely asked when that’s not true at all. About 70% of the tweets I saw today about TØP were people bashing them because they didn’t say anything. Then when Tyler did say something, everyone took it out of context and flipped shit again. They literally didn’t say anything because they didn’t feel like it was their place as straight men to. That’s okay. Not saying anything doesn’t mean they don’t support it? Chill the fuck out.
