sypnosis: so close, yet so far...

Katakuri:

A lack of affection during one’s childhood could lead to a certain amount of emotional numbness, so when confronted with love, their first response is often avoidance.

+ Komugi Island seemed especially quiet today. The dark clouds circling above the city and the harsh waves crashing against the shore indicated an approaching storm

+ Katakuri should’ve been happy. You whom he loved so carefully had told him you felt the same just a few moments ago

+ His heart skipped a beat and soared, but only for a moment. The joy that should’ve erupted instead folded in on itself. He should’ve pulled you into his arms. He should’ve told you, without hesitation, that he loved you too. He should’ve kissed you, and he should’ve called his siblings and told them about the good news

+ Katakuri should’ve been more than happy

+ But here he is, in his own room, alone. It has started to rain, the wind outside rattles his window panes, but he doesn’t move. His scarf is off in front of the mirror, and he stood there– rigid, silent– for a long, long time

Law:

It’s hard to carry hatred for someone as kind as you.

- Do you hate Law? That was a question you’ve been wondering for a long time. He once saved your life but you didn’t feel bad about it, since he was the one responsible for causing these feelings anyways

- You hated how he always shows the same cold demeanor to everyone he knows, and you hated how he lets the presents you gifted eat dust in a random drawer in his room

- But you loved him, too. You loved the way, when he looked at you, you could see the softness behind his barriers. You have been following him since the beginning of the Heart Pirates. He’s your savior, you cannot leave his crew, you were binded– that’s what you often said to yourself, but only you knew how much truth that really held

- You decided you hate Law. You hate that he doesn’t love you enough

- But Law… When Mom died, Dad didn’t care to stay by her side. When I died, you were right here.
