Ja, es ist einerseits vielleicht für viele Menschen, auch für mich, wenn man es von der anderen Seite sieht, ein schwieriger Moment, aber auch ein sehr, sehr schöner.

Ich muss sagen, diese Wertschätzung, die ihr mir alle gebt, gegeben habt, das ist einmalig.

Wenn man so überlegt, was die letzten 25 Jahre so passiert ist mit dem ganzen Verein, am meisten macht mich sprachlos, — ja, sprachlos nicht, das ist bei mir nicht so einfach — aber wenn ich das Stadion anschaue: Stadion immer voll, immer voll, egal gegen wen es geht, egal ob Mittwoch, Samstag, ob Regen, Schnee, immer voll. Wenn du das Stadion von außen siehst, die ganze Welt schaut nach München und beneidet uns um dieses Fußballstadion. Es ist ein Tempel und ihr macht es euch zu dem, was es am Ende darstellt. Die Entwicklung, die Entwicklung des Vereins, wenn man sich das auch auf der Zunge zergehen lässt. Ich durfte mitmachen, durfte mithelfen. Aber wenn man sich das anschaut, wir sind in der Spitze im europäischen Fußball angekommen, haben uns festgebissen. Es ist kein Geschenk, dort jedes Jahr um die höchsten Preise zu kämpfen, aber wir haben es geschafft, uns so aufzustellen. Ja, jetzt habe ich leicht den Faden verloren.

Ich wollte mich bei den Menschen bedanken, bei den Menschen, die Radio Müller auch über all die Jahre auch ausgehalten haben. Es ist nicht immer ganz einfach mit mir. Ich kann auch relativ anstrengend sein. Am Ende immer mit 'nem Augenzwinkern. Ich mag Menschen sehr, auch mit denen ich manchmal hart diskutiere. Und wenn ich so überlege, was ich vermissen werde, natürlich dieses Gefühl wenn du ein Tor schießt in so einem vollen Stadion, das ist unbezahlbar, das kann dir keiner geben, auch danach nicht, aber vor allem die Begegnungen. Die Begegnungen mit Mitspielern. Wenn ich da aus der Kabine so ein bisschen überlege, was zu erzählen gibt, angefangen mit dem Frank Ribéry, der dir die verschwitzten Socken nach dem Training ins Gesicht werfen wollte. Mich hat er Gott sei Dank mit irgendwelchen stinkigen Fischen im Koffer verschont. Oder die neue Generation: Jamal… die dir am Anfang der Saison schon erzählen wollen, wer NBA Champion wird und was sie selber für krasse Moves drauf haben und, und… Natürlich auch Danke an alle Förderer, an alle, die auch zu mir gehalten haben, wenn es mal ein bisschen enger wurde.

Ja, ich werde es vermissen und trotzdem glaube ich können wir positiv in die Zukunft schauen, wenn ich das Team anschaue. Ich sehe ganz viele junge, hungrige Spieler, die auch, wie ihr richtig gesagt habt, die ihr Herz geben für den FC Bayern.

Ich glaube, wir sind gut aufgestellt und trotzdem appelliere ich an alle, die auch nächstes Jahr und in den nächsten Jahren hier sind, reißt euch den Arsch auf. Das ist was Größeres, als was ihr euch für euch selber vorstellen könnt.

Dementsprechend, ich werde von dieser großen Bühne gehen. Ich habe es geliebt, der moderne Gladiator zu sein. Ich habe es geliebt, die Show, natürlich auch ein bisschen. Ich bin aber nicht traurig.
