it makes me so mad that people ever thought they were like THWY WERE A CHILD

a child who very clearly suffered horrible trauma on the surface, because we know they came to the mountain for a “not very happy reason”, and no child that hasn’t suffered something awful hates humanity and so easily sacrifices themself in such a painful way.

No child should say that 9 is their favorite number because it’s the highest and “after that nobody can hurt you anymore, nobody can hurt anyone anymore.” A CHILD SHOULD NOT BE THINKING ABOUT THAT, THEY SHOULD NOT BE FANTASIZING ABOUT A WORLD WHERE THEY CANT BE HURT ANYMORE! THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE TO!!

Chara was not evil, they were a kid who never got to truly recover or process, because as much as the Dreemurs loved and cared for them, they were not equipped to help them or deal with that kind of stuff.

“Dark room”

An old-ish comic I made shortly before the new chapters’ release. I was thinking about how Kris’s room in castle town looked so much like their real room, and drawing from my own experiences and others about what darkness means to you as a kid. I was specifically drawing on the idea that “in the dark things start to look like other things, like monsters and stuff, and your imagination runs wild” and so when that exact same idea was brought up days later in Ralsei’s ch3 exposition I went crazy.
