Kate Carin, the costume designer for S2&3, is now listing Frances McDormand (aka God Herself) in the updated version of her CV as one of the main cast members she’s worked with!

I think the fandom needs some reassurance with the state of GO3

Two people confirmed to be either working on GO3 or HAVE worked on GO3!

Meaning that it is still happening. I know MS said what he said, but bear in mind it was an interview about his late father, I know people who have made pessimistic comments because of the loss of someone close to them. This does not mean whatsoever he's confirming we're not getting GO3!

We as a fandom tend to panic, I know I did originally when I heard of the interview. But sometimes we need to take a step back and reread the facts. We know people who are working to bring GO3 to us, I promise you

Just started reading Sherlock Holmes and all the adaptations are wrong. This man is a delight. He gets excited about hemoglobin and is ecstatic at the thought of Watson as a roommate. He purposefully forgets how the solar system works so he has more room in his brain for crime. He shows Watson the dirt stains on his trousers and he can tell what part of London they come from based on color and consistency. (As far as i can tell Watson didn't ask, Sherlock just gets back from walks and tells Watson about the stains unprompted.) The text specifically says "Holmes was certainly not a difficult man to live with." Why does every adaptation make him unpleasant and rude, he's literally just eccentric. He's such a goober, I love him.

People still tend to lump JK Rowling in with the category of ~problematic artists~ and I need everyone to understand that is not the problem with her. She is not comparable to anyone who wrote a piece of fiction you hate, or someone who made rude comments in 2015 and has since learned better.

She is far more like Elon Musk. She is a radicalized person with an extreme amount of social and financial power, and for YEARS she has been using that power to try to influence her government into hurting vulnerable people, on purpose. And she has succeeded. THAT is the problem with her, and THAT is why spending money on her books is so dangerous, not because her books aged badly.

Critiquing her work is fine, of course (I personally was never a fan so I really don’t care) but you NEED to understand that fiction is not the main issue here. And I truly think acting like she’s the same as the rest of any giant list of ~problematic creators of the week~ waters down how dangerous she is.
