i love christmas season, mainly because this is when i start rewatching my favourite movies and shows, and while watching atla for the 1000th time two days ago, i decided that i needed to make a cosy jacket. so… teddy coat! with a hoodie underneath. 

also major credits to my amazing friend @moontaart who helped me make this, after this mesh kept giving me issue after issue. it’s also a good time to announce that the two of us will be releasing a collab in december which i’m super excited about ❄️

A Sisters Lookbook Ft. Candy & Yuki Behr

Candy and Yuki were raised by their beloved grandmother for most of their lives (Yuki was a year old and Candy was 8 years old, respectively). After she passed away, Candy became Yuki’s legal guardian and inherited their home in Windenburg. Fortunately, Yuki has always looked up to Candy, so seeing her as a “parental” figure wasn’t going to be that big of an adjustment. Although they were grieving, they were thankful to have each other and grateful that they’d always been extremely close - that made the changes in their life a little easier to tackle. But with loner Yuki starting high school and outgoing Candy trying to balance her DJ ambitions, a dead-end day job, and pseudo-parental responsibilities, their resilience will be put to the test more than ever before.

In my game currently, Yuki is around 14 years old and Candy is around 22. I tried to stay true to their interests and maintain their (differently presented) edgy aesthetic, and in the end I was super happy with how their looks turned out. I really feel like their outgoing DJ vs. loner gamer who both share a love for sarcasm and individuality comes through in both their looks. I’d never played with their household before, but I’ve started playing with them just for fun… so thank you to the anon who asked about Yuki! I hope you all enjoy! ♡

For me, EA updating their policy in regards to CC + monetization of UGC is a blessing in disguise.

I've been here since 2015, so I've experienced the metamorphosis of this community as both a consumer and creator of content. Over the years, as paid and early access content have become normalized, I've seen so many creators have joined in on the CC making rat race as a way to get some fast cash. Instead of releasing fun passion projects and interacting with the community at large, they work tirelessly to hit deadlines to meet patron, monetary, and follower goals. And there has just been this overwhelming feeling of loneliness and stagnation in the community? I cant quite put my finger on it.

I miss the days of us having fun, sharing our creations + inspo with one another, sharing resources, teaching one another how to create, etc. and ever since CC became so heavily monetized, we've stopped sharing with and encouraging others, and it's just plain sad.

If the prospect of profit is removed, I'm hoping we'll all support one another again and just have fun with creating, rather than worrying about our bottom line and boosting numbers. And if you want to and can support your faves? Do it! Like, reblog, share, donate if you are able. Just don't ever feel as though it's a requirement to enjoy this game, because it isn't.

I know my thoughts and feelings may seem unrealistic and overly optimistic, but I hope we can all come together again and enjoy our pixel projects.

yo being black and depressed is hard as fuck. being black with anxiety is hard as fuck. being black with a chronic illness or disability is hard a fuck. everybody expects you to be ‘strong’ at all times and no one sees black people as complex or nuanced enough to be capable of suffering. no one ever thinks we could possibly need help. and if you’re a black woman, the moment you stop thinking about others and try to tend to yourself you’re a selfish lazy ungrateful bitch.

support black people, esp women, who need help. don’t just call us strong or tell us we’ll get through it, help us. protect us. uplift us. allow us to be beings capable of suffering. give us the same space you’d give white women to express our pain and be there for us like you would for anyone else.
