622 - All the boys are pretty good artists. Raph does figure drawing and pin-ups, Leo does Japanese brush painting, Mikey draws superheroes, comics, and manga-style, and Donnie does realistic pencil drawings, like you’d find in Gray’s Anatomy, or Audubon books.

654 - Donnie hopes that some day humans will accept mutants as equals, so that he can contribute his vast knowledge of science to the world.

758 - It wasn’t until Donatello was old enough to start science-ing up the place, that living in the sewers became more bearable. Before that, Splinter did his best, but they were often sick, hungry, and uncomfortable. Donnie’s the one who read up on aquaculture and set up the worm-and-algae farm, added air filters and purifiers, humidity controls, proper drainage and flood prevention, adequate heat and air conditioning, security systems…. They don’t say it nearly enough, but Donnie pretty much engineered their entire way of life.

844 - Whenever Raph has nightmares, he’ll grab a magazine and go hang out with Donnie in the lab, since his brother is usually awake pretty late. And even though Donnie knows why Raph visits him in the middle of the night, he never asks his brother to share. Raph never does either. They just sit there quietly in each others company.
