While he may not be the best teacher, it did worry Shinobu for someone close to him to be worrisome for the most part, even if that person was Mayoi... he knew better than anyone else that he was quite the bundle of nerves!

Shinobu takes in a breath, then releasing it as he closed the book in Mayoi's hands, holding it in between his own as if it were a sandwich. "Why don't we find something more... relaxing, to read upon?" Shinobu suggests, "at the very least we can calm you down from overthinking."

Slowly, he takes the book from Mayoi's hands, holding it under his arm. "We can protect this book for now, in case you did want to read it later. But why don't we find something else? I'm sure there's something more... cozy."

"And my nerves are always very high... It causes me to overthink things that I really shouldn't, and I hate myself whenever I get those kinds of thoughts." He should stop speaking about it, or it'll just make him more fidgety.

"I'm sorry, Chief-san. It's hard to keep someone like meee under control.... Ahhh, I probably should take a break from looking deep into those books."

In actuality, Mayoi was reading them as reference to help with a project he plans to work on. Something to help more for the Ninja Association Club, but he wants to keep that a secret from Shinobu...

At least, for now or for however long he can keep it up. Seems like it wasn't gonna last long.

"And who do you think that would be..?" He asked, leaning in towards Izumi, a sly smirk adorned his face, "I suppose I do have a few individuals in mind, but if you're thinking of anyone else, you are free to enlighten me, of course~."

Wishmaker couldn't help but let out a gentle laugh, her energy and personality was so bubbly, youthful, and very wondrous... So what was the reason he was drawn to assist her? She seemed very happy as is... But he was not one to judge someone by their cover. A lesson learned by everyone at some point in life.

"Ah... someone who assists with guiding others, to say the least." He answers her question, "in my case, it is my goal to guide others towards happiness." He smiled, then hovering around her to get a better observation of her. "Hmm..?" Wishmaker stops mid-air, looking down at her. "My wings..." He pauses, a bright smile growing upon his face, "thank you! If I must be truthful, they are a little too large for my liking, but it is what it is I suppose." A nervous chuckle was emitted from him.

"I would like to think that they do, but maybe they don't. I suppose it is up to the bearer themselves, of course." He answered her question, truthfully, he didn't know anyone else who was just like him that posed the same appearance, after all!

Anything excluding love, life, death, and wealth? Depending on how you loosely define those terms, these guidelines could prohibit just about any wish at all! Very tricky... Even though he might not be a genie, he sure does seem sneaky like one with all his weird rules and his chuck-chuck-chuckling and all. Flora tells herself to stay alert for any foul play... and then promptly forgets about that when the stranger calls himself a God. What!!!! Either he's totally insane, or he's one of the most interesting people she's ever met in her life. She's going to assume the latter, because that's the polite thing to do. Also, he has wings, so being a God would make quite a bit of sense.

"Psychopomp?" Flora feels like she's heard that term before, but she can't remember what it means or where exactly she learnt it. It must have been something she read in one of the books she had while she was up in the Tower. "I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds very official." Flora pauses, smiles, then adds, "I love your wings; they're so pretty! Do all psychopomps have wings?"

"Hmm-mm... makes sense, I suppose." Avery mused quietly, finishing up Niki's hairstyle. All he had to do was wrap the hair tie around and he'd be finished... "Aaand... there, good as new~." He responds softly, patting Niki's back.

"I haven't had a chance to do anyone's hair in a while, really." He remarked, chuckling softly to himself. "I always used to do my little sister's hair, she always asked and I never said no..." He sighed, "it put my skills of hair-doing to work I suppose." He put a hand upon his cheek, smiling.

"You know, sandwiches don't sound too half bad right now. I wouldn't mind it at all." He stood up, dusting himself off. "I'll have to repay you, of course!"

"Munch munch. Every time I do, it's like whatever I say goes through one ear and out the other. It doesn't process like taking food out of the oven way too early when its not finished cooking. Munch munch. He really is the worst!"

Niki began chewing on some potato chips, stuffing his face while leaving tiny crumbs around his lips.

"I usually don't have anyone doing my hair, so this is a nice change of pace. When you're finished, I can treat ya to some food! I've been craving sandwiches lately~."

"Well if it hurts you, why don't you tell him to stop?" But what he wanted to say is to pull his hair back. Sibling-like experiences, of course. Avery let out a long, drawn out sigh. "But at least it gives me the opportunity to fix up your hair~." He states as he brushes his fingers through Niki's soft, silver hair.

"I'm almost done, don't worry."

"It is true, that you are a nervous being, yes! But if you were reading the books, a nervous system tells our bodies what to do!" There was a sudden pause between the two of them.

"... Which would also make sense to make you nervous, as well. The nervous system controls our ability to think as well!"
