I have been told many times throughout my life my face has very french features, so as i go down ancestry rabbit holes every so often i decided to make that my focus this time.

I noticed my maternal grandmas side has been in New York for as long as i can trace thus far, so I followed her maiden surname of Perrin as a starting place. Glad i started withom that name cause that was the answer.

Turns out thats a French Huguenot name, of whom fled France ~ 1685-1710 for the classic reason protestant persecution from the catholics.

So i was probably pretty close to getting to the actual ancestor who came over as i was working in the late 1700s

So then i go to the Huguenots society website and the Perrin's even have a cute lil crest

So, that's that. Mystery solved, i am in fact distantly french

We were invited by Warhorse to an event called The Royal Silvering of Kutná Hora. It was a historical festival where Warhorse had their own stand and we were there to entertain the fans, play dice and be hot (literally since it was like 30°C).
