I couldn’t agree more. Well said Audrey.
Fed Up!
Seriously, what is wrong with people??
I’m tired to have to deal with other people stupidity and selfishness ..
I mean it’s not complicated to be conscious that you are not the only person on earth and that you have to live as a community..
Stop parking your bloody car on the pavement , not letting any spaces for buggies or wheelchair because you can’t be bothered to walk a bit to go to your place. You maybe don’t realise it but it’s a real pain in the butt when you have to keep slaloming between car with your child or your chair.. And it’s dangerous.. But you don’t care do you? No, you pay road taxes and blah blah blah , so that give you the right to be selfish and do whatever..
STOP blowing your nose footballer style or spit on the pavement.. Not only it’s disgusting to see but it’s also plain gross when you consider that ppl drop their stuff on the floor and have to pick them up in the middle of your snot/spit.. Use a f*cking tissue.. It’s called being civilised..
Clean after you dog! Nobody else but you is responsible for your dog(s) and funnily enough I don’t fancy me or my child walking in Poo.. Totally fun when you go to the parc and your child is a second away to play with dog poo.. but you won’t because it’s gross to pick up poo in a bag.. Yes, but you knew that when you bought a dog…Don’t like it? Stick to goldfish!
Don’t listen to super loud music at 1 in the morning.. It’s fine from time to time, warn your neighbour and it’s all good, but not on a daily basis.. Not everybody like bass in their ears while them and their children/ grandchildren try to sleep to go to school/ work the next day.. Good for you if you don’t have to and can fonction on very little sleep , most people can’t.
Don’t klaxonne 500 times in the middle of the night cause your mate is late and you wait for him.. We are a wonderful generation with mobile phone..F*CKING USE IT!!!
When you bump to someone or hit them with your shopping trolley bag, just say sorry , don’t give them bad look because your bottle fell from it ..
Be polite.. Hello,Goodbye and a smile never killed anyone.
Don’t be rude to staff.. No matter if it’s in Mcdonalds or the hospital.. They work for not much and have to deal with the like of you everyday.. They are here to do a job , not to be your slave.. RESPECT is everything.
As for the staff.. I know that you have to deal with stupid ppl all day, with little money and everything, but when someone is nice to you, don’t bite.. I don’t say have a big smile, but passing your nerve because you realize that this person won’t bother you if you do is not a good idea either.. Causes and consequences really..
Just ppl, be generally a human being conscious that you have no other choices than living with other people.. World would be a better place with a bit of consideration for others…

Smooth, delicious, perfect for curling up on the sofa and nibbling gently on... but that’s enough about Howard Charles, who fancies a chocolate bar?

I lust for Athos
the way he wields his weapon
those deep brooding eyes
that body in black leather
and best of all - out of it

Tom Burke looking gorgeous (as always) and me looking... well, gormless! Oh well! This was at the Carols by Candlelight service in December 2015 in aid of Operation Smile.

Full Circle
In early spring you watch me do the planting. You issue directions though the patio window and I arrange the pots and beds just so, my colour-blind eyes trusting your judgement.
In summer we sit on our garden bench admiring the roses and peonies, though by now you can no longer smell the sweet scent of jasmine and mimosa.
In autumn I rake crumpled leaves as you watch squirrels hide their nuts below fading blooms. We leave the berries to the birds, offload apples on the stream of nurses who come and go.
In winter your chrysanthemums wither, bare branches reach up to snow-heavy skies. I watch the white blanket fall as you lay in bed by the window, your cold hand getting colder.
Another spring, and with the first tulip once more I find myself following your carefully thought out directions. I scatter your ashes amid new bulbs.

Forgiveness
I wince every time a nail is driven in, even though I’m the one wielding the hammer.
I try to ignore the cries of the women pleading for mercy, for the pain to stop.
I avert my eyes from the fear reflected in those of the condemned, bite back the pity.
This one’s different. I sense no fear in him, feel no resistance when I seize his wrists.
His eyes call to me. There’s a calmness in them, an acceptance of his fate, and…forgiveness.
His gaze never wavers as I complete my task, an unfamiliar lump constricting my throat.
I cannot explain the wetness on my cheeks as he is hauled up, the cross fixed in place.
Nor can I explain the wave of love that flows through me as he dies and the earth cracks beneath my feet.
(This poem won the National Association of Writing Groups Open Poetry competition in 2014)
