● Sleeve or muff coupling
It's a rigid type of coupling, consisting of a hollow cylinder or muff. The shafts of this coupling are connected with the internal and external diameter. ● Flange coupling
In this type of coupling, a flange is slipped and connected between the shafts. Then, through studs or bolts, the flanges are secured and used in medium to heavy applications. Unprotected, protected, and marine are the three fundamental types of flange coupling.
