   In times like this, of unity and faction between the city’s inhabitants, Laura would often find herself overwhelmed by the crowds of people and conversations to be initiated. Where Aria would normally take control and therefore ease Laura’s nerves, a more sadistic spree rang through the demon as she left her vessel to fend for herself. Hands wrung as she examined the place and different booths, finally picking a relatively quiet spot near rejected pumpkins by passersby. Deciding to rest her weary legs and try and gain enough energy to make the trek back to her abode, she sat, trying to block out the overload of senses. Might as well pick a pumpkin to carve, right?

  Eyes examined the rejects and she finally decided to pick a small, lonely, almost deformed pumpkin to begin her handiwork. For a while, it was helping her. The shake in her hands ceased as she began the first eye, but when a figure approached, she set down the knife and went back to kneading her hands. Don’t speak to them, they’ll ignore you. Don’t speak to them, they’ll ignore you.

Well, a being. I wouldn’t consider you a people, which I’m sure you might find as a compliment.”
