Iris smirked to herself at Lisaâs sass. It was honestly quite refreshing to hear. Her mind wasnât in the right place so her usual sense of humor seemed to go out the door. âOh. I should probably get home at some point,â she shook her head. Iris was so caught up in everything that she didnât even know what day it was sometimes. âNoâŚjust all in my head at the moment.âÂ
Lisaâs eyes narrowed slightly at Irisâ somewhat despondent reply. It seemed clear to Lisa that home was the last place Iris wanted to be. âWhy donât you come back with me? I canât promise food because Cisco wonât be there but I have wine.â
There wasnât really much else Lisa could offer short of shooting her gold gun at Barryâs feet and giving him a stern talking to. But honestly, that seemed like such a waste of ammo. Others could handle the scarlet speedster. Lisa would offer herself as a âgal palâ for Iris to lean on. She could handle that.
âNow I know you definitely are in need of a wine night. And a whine night.â Lisa stepped forward into Irisâ personal space and looped her arm around the other womanâs in order to steer her back to her place. Or rather, Ciscoâs place but whatever, he had better TV. âNot taking no for an answer. Iâd just kidnap you anyway.â

âOwch.â Ray smiled, âI know Iâve been absent from this time for longer than I should have been. But after the Pandoraâs box incident we had a few things to clean up.â Tucking the phone back into his pocket, he settled into step beside Lisa. âIâll try and be better at visiting Central.â
âYou donât sound too sure about that?â Ray hesitated before continuing, wondering if he could push his luck a little. âYouâve seen Leonard?â His own mind had been blown when his former teammate had returned from the dead, so he could only imagine how it had affected Lisa to have her brother back. âSort of. Things have been kind of quiet on that front recently.â
Lisaâs pout disappeared quickly, understanding how important those particular types of clean ups were. She couldnât be mad. She chose to not pursue more heroic ventures so knew other things took a higher priority than visiting her.Â
âIâm not bothered if you do or donât visit. But Iâm sure there are otherâs here that would benefit from knowing youâre still breathing.â She continued in her aloof tone, pretending to not care despite her mannerisms being a dead give away that she did.
She was about to brush off his first question with a vague answer when Ray asked a follow up that made her pause a beat. âYou mean that jerk who apparently isnât dead?â Lisa asked rhetorically. Her brotherâs return had been an emotional rollercoaster that she was still trying to wrap her head around but she was at least at the acceptance stage where she was ready to joke about it. âShould I be thanking you for that? Or worried that a giant gorilla is going to attack because him being back has broken some kind of time law or something?â

Looking up she noticed Lisa and sighed, âItâs only me. Sorry. Just havenât been paying much attention lately,â Iris nodded and shrugged before glancing at her phone that she knew wouldnât ring. Thankfully Cisco put the feed on her phone to the cell Barry was in so she could check on him. âWhere are you off to?â she asked not wanting anyone to dwell on her.Â
âReally? Hadnât noticed.â The sarcasm rolled easily off Lisaâs tongue before she really took in the appearance of the woman before her. Iris looked far less put together than she normally was - not that anyone could blame the woman for being distracted given everything that was happening in her life.Â
âJust back to my place.â Lisaâs tone softened, noticing the way Irisâ attention was drawn back to her own phone. âYou waiting on a call or something?â

Walking while he talked on the phone, was never something that he did, because he knew that it would distract him too much and he would end up bumping into someone, âSee thatâs why I donât walk and talk on the phone, never a good idea.â
âIâm perfectly capable of multitasking, pretty boy.â Lisa sassed back, casting a critical gaze over the handsome younger man in a bored assessment. He looked like he was straight out of some catalogue - perfect face, jawline cut from marble, tall, well-built. Urgh. Nice to look at but pity he had to do that talking thing.
âBesides, you bumped into me. I was going with the flow of foot traffic.â

âOh, Iâm sorry Lisa. I was trying to catch this before it smashed.â Ray held up his phone with a sheepish smile, hoping that the apology would ease the angry look in her eyes a little. âHavenât seen you for a while. How have you been?â
Lisaâs ire simmered down at realising just who it was that bumped into her. While still annoyed, Lisa found she couldnât be too mad at the mistake Ray had made. The sheepish smile paired with the apology tamed the fire in her eyes.
âBit hard to see me if youâre hardly ever around, Raymond.â Lisa pointed out coolly. A minor pout coming to her lips to say the lack of visits was discouraging but entirely expected.Â
She sighed at the question, shrugging in an aloof manner. âFine... I guess.â She was fine, if a little bored. It seemed everyone else was off doing their thing and Lisa was stuck in a rut, wondering what was her thing. But Ray didnât need to be privy to that. âWhat about you? Still playing hero?â

âCan I call you back? Some jerk-faced jack ass just cut me off.â Lisa spoke into the phone, scowl on her face. Her voice elevated as she hung up the phone and confronted the rude person that had bumped into her as she was walking. âHey! Watch where youâre going!â

âThatâs quite insightful.â Camille hummed. âI mean I guess we are the ones who have the power in changing the narrative. Although, can we change it even though we donât deserve it?â
âGenomes.â She shook off the bristling patch of hope that blossomed in her chest. âThe last thing I created cost me everything. I think itâs safer for me to settle.âÂ
âOnly you can decide that for yourself.â Lisa settled back in her seat, satisfied with herself that she thought she was able to help. Maybe she was. Maybe she wasnât. Lisa couldnât be sure but some of her advice seemed to have struck a chord.
âRight,â Lisa agreed without bothering to correct herself. She wasnât the science nerd. She didnât have to know the right terminology. âWell, you do you. I think itâs just a shame, thatâs all.â

âDefinitely. Heâs an old friend from Gotham - theatrics are sort of a necessity to survive there.â Pamela mused with a small chuckle. âHeâs never been much interested in territory, though, just⌠recognition, I suppose. We shouldnât have any more turf wars on our hands.â She assured Lisa before letting out a small sigh at her question. âI know he will.â She muttered. She didnât really care who got hurt in Eddieâs quest for making his mark so long as it didnât involve her. But she knew people she would rather keep in the good graces of would care. âI wouldnât worry about it, though.â She waved off with a shake of her head. âThere will be bigger problems if we donât track down that pesky box and its inhabitants.â
âGood,â Lisa said with a bit of finality, glad of Pamelaâs assurance that there would be no turf wars. Not that she had much at stake as far as those went these days. âI know the likes of Amunet Black wonât give up easily. I donât want your friend crossing her. It probably wouldnât end well.â
Lisa couldnât say she was surprised that Pamelaâs friend would try again. That was one thing she admired about the Gotham rogues, they didnât know the meaning of give up. However Pamela was right, there were greater things to worry about.Â
âIs there a way to track it?â Lisa asked, still unsure if sheâd help in this caper but seeing no problem in asking. âOr has the trail gone cold since the inhabitants escaped?â

Jason took a moment to catch up with the fact Lisa was putting on a show, frowning in confusion as she laughed at a joke he hadnât made, before quickly schooling his features to look like he was thoroughly amused and impressed with himself. âI am honoured.â He responded to her words, knowing she was only teasing, but still. Itâs not like Lisa wasnât a nice girl. Not one he had ever thought of as more than a potential friend, but still, any guy would have been lucky to take her to the Ball tonight. âAnd whoever was supposed to be me tonight⌠well, just point me in his direction and heâll be puking up slugs for a week.â He promised. âThere⌠there mightâve been a girl I thought about asking but Iâm pretty sure she wouldnât be interested, soâŚâ He shrugged, trying to appear unaffected by his own admission. âDidnât think much of it, figured thereâd be plenty of girls to dance with once I got here anyway.â
Lisa was impressed that Jason caught onto her little act - most boys she dated werenât that sharp. Maybe there was hope that not all Gryffindors boys were pretty to look at but had wet noodles for brains. Not that she was of that opinion. Just a number of her Slytherin housemates were.
Her face softened at his promise - touched that Jason would defend her like that. âOh, thatâs so sweet.â She cooed, putting a hand to her heart. âBut I wouldnât worry about him. I may have gotten one of the other boys in his dorm to lace his dress robes with Zonkoâs Itching Powder. They were only too happy to help.â Despite her deviant words, Lisaâs tone was laced with complete innocence.
âAh ha,â Lisa crowed a little triumphantly at Jasonâs admission. âDonât give up just yet. Who is it? Come on, Jason, give me a name. How am I supposed to set you two up if I donât know who she is?â

âTrust me, I donât need anybody knowing this was last minute either.â Jason muttered under his breath. He knew he could have asked any number of girls, but he hadnât been able to work up the guts to ask who he actually wanted to. Lisa showing up at the last minute needing a date had been a blessing in disguise.
Lisa made a gesture to indicate her lips were seal. If someone found out that it was last minute it wouldnât be from her. She smiled up at him and let out a little laugh as a group of sixth year girls walked passed. âOh Jason, youâre so funny.â Lisa leaned close to him so it would appear to the other girls that they were sharing a private joke.
Once the girls were out of earshot, Lisa lowered her voice. The sweet smile she wore turned to a more knowing smirk. âSo... I know youâre totally honored to be my date this evening. But who did you really have your eye on? I was honestly surprised you were dateless.â

âCan we just establish that this is not some kind of pity date, please?â Lisa gripped the arm of the person who was kind enough to escort her to the Yule Ball when her previous date bailed at the last minute. âLetâs just play it off as if this was all intentional, yeah?â

Looking up he noticed Lisa right away. Of course he knew who she was, who wouldnât honestly. Ok maybe it was just him but he couldnât help it. âItâs CiscoâŚâ he paused as he shifted a little in his casual clothes he had thrown on so his school attire wouldnât get all dirty. âDecided to make a detour through the Quidditch pitch?âÂ
Glancing at his broom, he nodded. âUmâŚyeah. I saved up a lot of Galleons for this thing. My parents wanted nothing of the sort so I had to find clever ways to earn some money.âÂ
âRight, thatâs what I said.â Lisa replied in a flippant manner, eyes traveling over his casual attire. âNo,â she answered rather quickly, returning her gaze to meet Ciscoâs. âI mean, yes... Iâm here. I just thought it was Slytherinâs turn on the pitch. Every Tuesday afternoon. At least it was last year. I used to date the Captain - for like, three months - and then he graduated... so I guess the scheduleâs changed, huh?â
Lisa scoffed when Cisco mentioned his parents, rolling her eyes in a dramatic fashion. âParents are the worst.â She sighed, sounding sympathetic. âMy Dad wonât let me go for my apparition license even though I can do it. Like Iâm not seventeen yet but Denmark doesnât have a legal age limit. Why do we?â
âSorry, you were saying you found clever ways to get money. You didnât do something illegal did you? Youâre not like in some sort of scandalous potion ring? Cause trust me, those never work out.â

Lugging around his broom, Cisco made his way towards the Quidditch pitch for some practice and to just clear his mind from the day. Walking through the curtains, Cisco stopped and stepped back a little. âOhâŚI am so sorry. I didnât know the pitch was being used today.âÂ
Lisa was just heading back up to the castle after spending her afternoon by the lake, carrying her shoes and stockings in her hand. It wasnât really advisable to put shoes back on wet feet, after all. She was minding her own business, humming a little song in her head, so lost in her own world that she hadnât realised that she detoured toward the Quidditch pitch until she bumped into the slightly shorter Hufflepuff.
âThatâs okay, Costco.â Lisa replied sweetly, tucking her light brown curls back behind her ear. She had seen the younger Hufflepuff around but had never quite remembered his name. âI was just heading back to the castle anyway.â
âNice broom,â her eyes looked over to the handle of the broomstick he held. âIs it new?â

Name: Lisa Snart House: Slytherin Year: 6th Year Pet: No Pet Wand: Phoenix wing feather || Firm || Apperation || 8 inches || Fir Other: N/A
Lewis Snart is an Auror at the Ministry of Magic who is as crooked as they come. He abuses his authority to carry out Grindelwaldâs agenda and then, after Grindelwald fell, claimed he had been under the Imperius Curse all along. The Ministry believed him, after all, no one could prove otherwise and those that could were dead. He is flying under the radar at the moment but it wonât be long and his true colours will show again.
Now Lisa Snart, on the other hand, has no idea about her fatherâs corruption nor does she care so long as they live the comfortable life that sheâs used to. She is product of Lewisâ second marriage (which had been a scandal in itself), the youngest of the Snart children and only daughter.
Lisa is the baby princess and has been treated as such her whole life. Never wanting for anything and told she could be whatever she wanted to be. At present, she wants to be a famous singer. She canât carry a tune all that well but there is no telling her she canât make it in the music industry. Sheâd just claim youâre jealous.
Hogwarts is just a big popularity contest to Lisa and itâs a game she believes sheâs winning. Most other students appear to like her... to her face, at least. But truth be told, a lot of them probably hate the fact she is a true fence sitter in the oncoming war.

Not the first time sheâd responded in kind to him, Mick shook his head at Lisa once again. âYeah, youâd think with all those gadgets and science things theyâd invest in a padlock. Or a gun turret, something.â On to more important matters, the pizza they were scamming off of Cisco. âIâm not picky, just as long as itâs got lots of cheese.â Pretty clearly she didnât care what his opinion was on whatever was going on with Cisco, typical for her but he also couldnât blame her for that. Itâs not like he let anyone tell him what to do either.
âMardon. Havenât heard that name in a bit now.â He snickered at the thought of her rebuke. âPolitely, huh? Whoâs definition?â It was a definitely change from the Lisa Snart of old though, to turn down a bank robbery, and if Mick was being truthful, it impressed him. As she turned it around on him, Mick offered a shrug of his own. âNah, not done saving the universe just yet. Youâd be surprised how often it needs to be done.â
Her interest sparked up at the mention of a gun turret. âYou mean something like an industrial size version of my gold gun?â Lisa was gleeful at the idea of making intruders sparkle in the sunlight as they were shot with the precious metal. As well behaved as she had been in the last few years, Lisa still had a destructive side. âOr a cold gun? No... wait, flamethrower.â
She ordered the pizzas, huffing a little when the app on her phone said it would take twenty minutes. Patience was not Lisaâs strong suit.
âThe guy was going on about how powerful he was with his pocket size tornadoes and how Hartley broke him out of prison. I got bored. Canât blame a girl for wanting out of the conversation.â Lisa sighed dramatically, making it sound like putting up with Mark Mardon was a chore.
Lisa pouted a little in response but quickly covered it. âActually, it doesnât surprise me the universe still needs saving.â She replied. âWhat does surprise me is the fact youâre still doing it. Something on that ship holding your attention? Or is it someone?â
