EA’s The Sims, with custom content from The Sims Resource & similar sites (I’ll link a list of those) (paid, but free if you’re broke, brave and determined): A true classic, and becomes a much better looking infinite sandbox if you add the TONS of custom content that is easily downloadable, and there are plenty of options to help you make it happen - there is software to sort through your custom content for you and find which ones have bugs or conflict with each other and remove them for you. There are also immense resources on pirating the games themselves, as well as archives upon archives of free reuploads of the paid custom content (though obviously, do pay the artists if you can! But I know a lot of you are here specifically because you can’t do that, & I’m not here to fault you. If you are the type to come at broke people and children for not wanting to spend $500 on 50 hair styles for their Sims, you are unwell in the head. That being said, I won’t link those resources here, but let it be known that they are 100% out there and pretty easily accessible.)

Character Creation-Specific AI Art Generators:

Art Breeder (free) literally breeds the characters you create by blending the portait images together. It works in any art style you can imagine. From there, you can tweak their traits, such as their expressions, hair color, etc and continue the game until you have the result you want. You can start from someone else’s images from the site, pick two, and blend them together with all kinds of different sliders to blend together certain specific traits & tell it to prefer one character’s specific trait over the other’s. I believe you can upload your own art as well.

if you want to have fun with Picrew but disagree w OP of that “but I use AI art to make my OCs! / you will use picrew as god intended” post on their stance on AI art (perhaps you agree with me? see my tags on OP’s post below the page break under this paragraph) or agree with them but don’t like their wording or have friends who disagree who’d feel hurt or get up your ass or you don’t like to reblog guilt trips or whatever.
