Witch craft 101: Making throwing bones.
Alright alright alright my witches!! Todays post is a basic way to make throwing bones for a rune set!! Fair warning this does take a couple days so ya gotta have patience.
Okay first thing ya wanna do is get yo self some bones (I used chicken bones) , a spoon to scoop them out and a pot of water!!

Then next yer gonna set that shit on high and wait for it to boil. And once it starts boiling your gonna put all of your bones that you collected into the pot and let them boil for an hour or so. This helps loosen the remaining meat as well as get rid of lingering bacteria.

Next after there done boiling your going to take them out and your going to gently scrape the rest of the remaining meat of the bones. It usually helps to get the majority of the meat off beforehand though.

Once you've removed the rest of the meat your going to soak them in a bowl with warm water and Dawn soap. The Dawn soap acts as a degreasing agent so that it removes the rest of the grease. And your going to soak them over night.
After you've soaked them over night your going to rinse off the bones and pat them dry and then you going to get a huge ass bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Pour just enough to cover the bones. Your going to soak the bones for several hours to achieve the shade of white you want them to look like.
After your done soaking the bones your going to rinse them off and let them dry for about 2 days. Once they're completely dry you can design them using whatever you'd like ( I used sharpie) and you can seal them using a Matte or Gloss varnish.

Enjoy your new casting bones!!!!

Basic sachet making 101
*This post will teach you how to make the most basic witch sachet that you can use to put your witchy items in! Like runes or crystals etc.
First thing you need is some fabric, thread a needle, string or cord , and scissors.

First you need to cut out a square shape from the fabric. But be sure to fold it inside out first because that's the side you'll be sewing on.

Now that you have your square piece, it's time to start sewing. First chose which end to close and which one to leave open. Then start sewing up the side towards the closing end.

Once your down closing up the end, loop the thread around twice and tie a knot to secure the bottom end.

Now at the opening end you're going to fold over the top edge to the inside of the sachet and cut 3 small openings for the string/cordon each side.

After your done cutting the openings you can loop around the cord through the small openings you just made. First flip the sachet inside out and then loop the string. Pull the string to the inside of the bag first, then the outside. Repeat that pattern until the cord is looped through all of the openings.

Tie up your sachet cord and your done! Put whatever you want in it! Enjoy your new witchy sachet!!

Also I talked about this on my other blogs but it bears repeating.
Dreamcatchers are not witchy. They’re not magical. Their only spiritual meaning is that they were taught to us by an Ojibwe mythological figure to protect our children when they’re out of her reach. They’re essentially glorified and blessed baby mobiles.

On that same note, since it’s the season, and witchcraft has become so big in pop culture these days, I hate to be Like this, but after browsing the “pagan/esoteric” section in a big-name bookstore last week, I feel the need to warn y’all that the MAJORITY of these books are full of bad information, mistakes, or just blatant lies.
You get used to spotting BS as you go, but here are two major and common red flags:
The book claims to teach “the old ways,” ESPECIALLY if it’s citing Irish or nondescript “Celtic” practices. Historically, we know very little about pre-Christian Irish and most other Celtic cultures’ religious and magical practices, so unless this author is citing a For Real vampire or ghost for their info, it’s fake.
Check the literature cited! I opened about 15 books IN A ROW to their literature cited sections, and guess who they referenced for information! History books? Books on folklore and traditional beliefs? Books on language or religion?
No, no, and no. They almost Exclusively cited Other Authors in the same section, and when I pulled THOSE books, they also cited other pagan & esoteric authors.
At this point, it was just a paper trail of people making stuff up at worst, believing BS without question and spreading misinformation for money at best.
If you want to learn about this stuff, I’m Begging you to skip (most of) the bookstore pagan section and head to your local or university library’s folklore and history sections instead! You will find a Lot of relevant, and Real information there!
You CAN find good books on magic practices in the witch community, and there are some authors even now with blogs putting out some great literature, but just watch out for those signals that something may be amiss!
Also, keep in mind info changes all the time. In the last decade, researches have totally overhauled a LOT of what we’ve recognized as “Celtic” history and facts, and text books are still trying to catch up!

I guess it’s my turn to say it.
This lecture has been issued so many times that the vast majority of spirit workers crossing these lines know better, so I’m just going to put a not-so-brief, highly specific reminder here (and I’m aiming this directly at shops):
Please stop with the inaccurate bullshit listings, actively trying to co-opt things you don’t understand.
Your random-ass American were-creature is not a skinwalker. You want to know why? Ask a Navajo.
Your carnivorous beast that is “sweet and gentle with their keeper” is nothing like a wendigo. Any Ojibwe or Cree will quickly set that record straight.
Your giant bird spirit is not a thunderbird and for fucks sake your water elemental panther spirit is NOT an underwater panther!!! The thunderbird is sacred. The underwater panther is sacred.
GTFO here with your plastic shamanism.
Every now and then a shop does spring up with a legitimate (and often known malicious) spirit from a closed culture. Here’s what you don’t understand though: there’s a difference between spirit vessels and spirit traps. These legitimate, malicious spirits are likely captured rather than willfully bound, and I believe this is where half the community is getting this whole ‘spirit binding is slavery’ thing from. Some species want nothing to do with humans, and when you find one of those beings listed, there’s a good chance they’re trapped and angry. And there’ll be hell to pay once the binding weakens enough for them to get loose.
You don’t want to listen? Fine, get wrecked.
For all the spirit workers who do use shops, do your research! When a conjuror lists a entity whose bio flies in the face of everything that species is, RUN.
When a conjuror does not publicly state their qualifications/experiences working with traditionally malevolent entities, RUN.
A conjuror who cannot properly inform themselves on a species cannot properly vet that entity. If they don’t care about the cultural origins of an entity they do not know the correct way to interact with that entity, nor what it is truly capable of.
Say you are matched with an entity from a closed culture, and it’s the real deal/not an imposter, and you get along fine. Your particular experience doesn’t mean it’s okay for just anybody to interact with that species. There are communities that have been working with their spirits for as long as mankind has roamed the earth, and when outsiders who do not know the proper level of respect to show get involved – en masse, thanks to irreputable conjurors – you know what happens? Offense is taken and they stop wanting to work with humans, period. And it’s not fair to those of us for whom this is our birthright; to have some outsider come in and fuck shit up so that our traditional spiritual allies close their doors to us. IMO, when it comes to beings from closed cultures, not only should the conjuror be a member of that culture, but along with the spirit being vetted, the spirit worker should be vetted as well.
There’s more than a couple of people in the community just trying to make a quick buck and they do NOT CARE about your safety. And if you can’t understand that part of the reason people call out folks appropriating is due to sellers misinforming people and putting them in direct contact with dangerous beings, you too can get wrecked.
Culture vultures are the exact reason I won’t post anything in depth about Unktomi.
I keep my head down and avoid most of the drama in the spirit community, but I am asking you now as an unenrolled Santee Sioux and Shoshoni (sheep eaters clan) native to please step back from our culture. It’s invasive at the least and desecration at the worst. Please grant us at least this small measure of respect.

IT’S HERE ☆.。.:*・ THE TELLURIC TAROT Kickstarter campaign!! ☆.。.:*
(I know, I know.. Never let me set up exact dates again in advance.. but at least it’s EARLY ヽ(•‿•)ノ)
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lunariagold/the-telluric-tarot
Full description and specs are listed on the campaign page. However here are a few features and notes of introduction:
☆ The Telluric Tarot is a collection of 78 lovingly chosen minerals- each paired with a companion plant for extra earthy goodness. I carefully rendered each stone’s crystal structure and unique characteristics to fully capture their essence and message.
☆ This tarot is entirely based on crystals and plants’ natural and symbolic properties. It is therefore non-hierarchical (there are no mention of titles or roles such as King, Queen, Priest, etc; cards are named for their respective stone/plant) and entirely gender-neutral (including the language in the companion book). It is compatible with the Rider-Waite tradition if a reader prefers it- in number of cards, types of suits and general messages- yet it was created to stand entirely on its own as a unique voice strongly inspired by the earth and soil, just like its predecessor The Telluric Runes. ☆ The pricing is in CAD (Canadian bucks!) so that means it’s pretty sweet deal for US buyers.. just sayin’
☆.。.:*・ WAIT THAT’S NOT ALL since I’m also launching my BEST GIVEAWAY YET…

Something I think we tend to tend to forget, when talking about closed religions, is to think about why they’re closed. Because there is ALWAYS a reason for it; no community just shuts itself off from others just because it feels like it.
Some religions are closed because they’re based on cultural values and beliefs that outsiders, who weren’t raised with and immersed in those beliefs, wouldn’t be able to ever truly understand. Brujería is an example of this, as far as I know.
Some religions are closed because they’re based on location, with their beliefs centered around local things that don’t make sense outside of that location. There are some small Shinto sects that are closed for this reason.
Some religions are closed based on race, because people of a specific race banded together under terrible circumstances and formed beliefs based on their shared experiences. Hoodoo, for example, was created by African slaves so it’s only open to Black people (mainly African diaspora).
Some religions are closed because you have to be born into them, usually because it’s part of the religion’s tenants and foundation. Modern Zoroastrianism almost never recognizes converts.
Some religions are closed because, historically, they were mistreated and often criminalized, with sacred practices being stolen and bastardized by outsiders who were allowed to witness them. Those religions ended up closing to outsiders in order to protect themselves and survive. This is why the majority of indigenous religions are closed.
It’s important to understand the reasons behind religions being closed, not only so that we can learn to accept that decision, but also so that we have a better understanding of history and other people.

I just want to get a post spreading this again, since others haven't been on my dash lately, and misinformation has: YOU CANNOT INGEST ESSENTIAL OILS.
There is no brand that you can inject. If it is an essential oil, you cannot consume it. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FOOD GRADE ESSENTIAL OIL. Doterra and Other similar companies will try to tell you that you can add them to food and drinks, but you cannot.
Please don't do it. The list of side effects it can cause is truly almost endless, but I'll list a few of them.
1. It can burn the inside of your body, including the throat and stomach.
2. It can similarly cause chemical burns.
3. Some oils, such as cypress, can cause medications to stop working.
4. Can cause respiratory distress and failure.
5. Can cause disturbances in the mucous membranes and cause coughing, vomiting, and more.
6. Eucalyptus can cause seizures.
7. Nutmeg can cause coma.
Pretty much no matter which oil you're ingesting, you're being poisoned. There is no safe essential oil to ingest. If you can't do consume herbal concentrates, try an infusion or a tincture. But not an essential oil.
