I said in like 2013 that Extremely Online LGBT politics will be overrun with straight people who want to feel special enough to be “included” because they don’t want to confront how they benefit from the privation that LGBT people face. The thought process is I’m not gay bi or trans, but if I have an obscure enough label, then I can use identity politics to narrate an imagined sense of oppression and exclusion even though I don’t and will never face that kind of privation. No shade to the lithromantics.

Petition to make a new community called the SGAD community. Stands for “same gender attracted and dysphoria” and is the same as what the LGBT community was supposed to be except there’s no wiggle room for the people who aren’t supposed to be there.

It’s understandable to be honest. For most of the last two decades, this idea that bisexuals cannot be attracted to trans people (including nonbinary people) has been perpetuated, no matter what bisexuals said. And the fact that there is really no difference confuses the mainstream and makes them dig for the supposed differences and emphasise them in order to make sense of them. This mistake didn’t come from the mainstream, it came from the community.

Okay lowkey the whole “I’m a soft/neutral leaning transmed uwu” thing needs to die.

Your behaviour doesn’t have any bearing on your political stance. There are good, bad, and neutral acting people in every single group.

If you think gender incongruence is the same thing as gender dysphoria and it is a mandatory prerequisite to be trans, you are a transmed full stop.

You’re not a “soft transmed” or neutral

For treating people of the opposing side with common decency

For bending your views in order to be extra respectful of people you know you can’t win over

For having an uncommon political view completely unrelated to the dysphoria debate

You’re not soft or neutral for being kind and acting like a decent person to people. Saying you are implies transmedicalism is inherently violent and aggressive, which isn’t true and gives the community a bad name overall. Stop it with this shit.
