this is such real advise tho like. koana has ingrained this way of being into himself. his stoicism is not a mask - he does this naturally. i think this is such an interesting take for koana's archetype.. of course he has his own traumas, but they didnt make him like this.
when ppl ask "who are you when you're alone" i struggle so much to answer bc my weird, closed off nature and difficulty expressing myself isnt a mask. that's the base line. koana is likely very similar? "i am me, i don't present a different version of myself for your sake" <- something he might say maybe.
he had his moments of IM GOING TO EXPLODE when wuk lamat got kidnapped but even then he felt. subdued. alexithymia is killer idk!!! lol i dont even necessarily think he's autistic just. not naturally expressive, and he has alot of pressure on him. he was probably awkward in sharlaya, he never mentions having friends.
he reminds me alot of an IRL friend i have - she's very awkward and bookish. even when she seems 100% comfortable she's somewhat stilted and reserved. she's just like that, it seems.
idk im just rambling it's so interesting to me that they wrote him JUST LIKE THAT. HE'S JUST KOANA <3
