I just find it fascinating that we never see Darius and Brooklyn on-screen together this season, minus the video of them as kids in the first episode, yet we understand so much about their relationship.

For what I headcanon Darius final confession, I don't know. The wording is vague enough that it felt like Darius was making a lot of assumptions, and he acted self-deprecating enough to make it seem as if he had the worse interpretation of events. But without Brooklyn's POV, it's hard to get an objective read on the situation. I would love to root for them, I just don't know if its a deadend already. However, on that note, I do find it sus that Brooklyn would spend a few weeks in a cabin, alone with a boy, post-break-up and also share her phone's password. However, that's just my opinion.

I really liked the episodes you wrote, and I think the season turned out excellently. Most definitely one of my favorite Jurassic Park material yet.

We saw flashbacks of Brooklyn with every other Nublar 6, except for Darius. Was this done intentionally, or was there a more pragmatic reason for why Darius didn't get a flashback (like for pacing or something).

Another thing is how much of what Darius said in the season finale are we meant to be taken at face value. Are we suppose to doubt his POV or was he said the objective truth.

As far as flashbacks go, we talked so much about those things. We wanted to find the right moments that informed the audience about what she was like before her death, and about what the whole Camp Fam was going through. The biggest challenge was also making sure that we didn’t keep Brooklynn TOO alive, so that we could make sure it felt truly like she was gone. We needed to make sure her death felt impactful. So, Darius not having a proper flashback was mostly pragmatic in that we sorta DO get flashbacks with him and Brooklynn in the form of his voicemails to her and the video of the moment she died. (I really liked how we were able to vary the form of these flashbacks, like how Yaz had a whole big scene with Brooklynn, but Sammy only had a brief moment.)

In regards to Darius’s confession in the finale… I’ll let you decide. What’s your head canon tell you?
