Aaand here we go: this years drinking game! The theme for this year is quinquennial (aka wooden jubilee). As that's a bit vague I decided to add PC-9800 and combined it with elements from previous years.

Please take care if you do decide to play along. Don’t be afraid to take it easy and do what works best for you.

I’m back, and right in time for E3!

5 years ago I began a tradition of making increasingly elaborate drinking games for E3. The first one I just a bunch of rules and ideas slapped together, which is reflected in its design. It wasn’t until the second year that I forced myself to work under a different theme for each year.

2015 was “Office Chique”;

2016 was “Gothic Lolita”; and

2017 was “J-Core”.

Which begs the question what this years theme is and what the new one is. Both those questions will be answered soon (and before the EA conference!)

Note these rules are are harsh and fully intended to get you drunk. The original game stemmed from an era in which I liquored up every other day and conventional rules wouldn’t cut it for me. In short: take care.

(I’ll expand on why I have been absent as soon as is convenient.)

Wanted to make ya something while I was otherwise busy with slower stuff. Was inspired by Paps in the form of doing something quick and small (which means not obsessing over lineart in my case).

Muffet, aka mai waifu, from an obscure lil’ indie game called Undertale. Actually used to draw her all the time around release, but over the years she took a backseat to requests, OC, etc. 

About an hour for the base and another 2/3 hours for the shading and finishing touches. All done in photoshop cs6, using some custom brushes and patterns.

A 4koma of Awa and Alunya together, this time for Christmas and New Year. It’s an old gag, but I couldn’t resist going for some cheap yucks. 

The petite pioneer in the last panel is Domovina GETovic, the mascot of GETchan.

Been working on a couple of things, but they’re all taking longer than expected. Between the holidays and personal troubles, it’s been difficult to dedicate time to anything. The drama on /leftypol/ also zapped my motivation to do short term stuff, like those Alunya drawings and sketches.

I made a twitter, which I hope to be a bit more active on. Content will still be uploaded here, but if you want to check if I’m available that is most likely the place do so.

Comic made for /leftypol/ to celebrate Halloween. Featuring Cat Alunya, their mascot, and Awa/Crow Girl, a creation by one ‘Crow Anon’. (Expect to see more of them together.)

This version has been slightly altered and is the final version. I intended to add more changes, but I liked none of them once put on paper. Sometimes you get it right the first time.

Entirely done in photoshop CS6 with the Hard Round brush. Didn’t track my time, but it took about a week from start to finish. Another 5 hours on the edits.

Quickie, because I wanted to and had some time on my hands.

I've been reading the 'moé manifesto', so naturally my mind eventually wandered to what Alunya would look like as a more typical bishojo. (Turns out the answer is' like a sukeban'.) Threw in Awa, because why not?

7 hours, Corel Painter 2018, Real 2B Pencil, Real 2H Hard Pencil, Real Hard Eraser, Mechanical Pen.

Apologies for the low amount of posts: I am prone to depressive episodes which make it difficult to contribute or work on projects. This happens occasionally and I can only hope for your sympathy and understanding.

To compensate: here’s the result of a portrait and painting exercise I did to familiarize myself with Coral Painter (gave up on adding colours after 2 hours of fiddling with layers). Spent 3 hours on the model sketch, 9 hours on the mask and 5 on the colours - totaling in about 17 hours. All digital; done in coral painter with the 2018 Real 2B Pencil, Real Hard Eraser, Real Soft Eraser and Opaque Acrylic Brush.

Earlier in the month I designed a tumblr theme - the one you should be looking at. It’s not finished yet, though it is functional as is. You can find more information here . I will make a proper, announcement post once I’m am more satisfied with it.
