So, I’m doing today what I said I’d never do: In @transmissionsfromthemoon style, I narrated one of my own fics.

But, let’s be clear: I suck at reading out loud lol. I very much do. I don’t have the talent for it, my voice is not the nicest, AND I HAVE AN ACCENT.

But, since this particular story, Harmless, is about a language barrier, about accents, about foreign languages, I felt… this is the only story I’ll ever write where my accent is actually an asset, and not a nuisance. The only story where my accent is something that brings another layer into the story it was meant to have. So, I decided to do it anyway. Just this once.So, here you go.

While we’re talking about how wonderful and important fanfic reviews are, I want to give a shoutout to @transmissionsfromthemoon for their amazing podfics and their efforts to bring fanfic to people in a new way. I received so many new comments after one of my fics was beautifully read by @smokingbomber and I was so floored by that. I didn’t expect people to take the time to go to AO3 and leave me a review after listening, and I was touched that so many did.

We’re back!

Transmissions from the Moon is back and ready to go, with new chapters, stories, and couple of changes!

To make our recordings more easily available, we’re moving to Google Drive. All stories will now be available to listen to or download! Just follow the link in the post. 

We’ll be updating previously posted stories with Google Drive links - so stay tuned for reblogs!

Remember our Premier Drabble Challenge? Expect to see some of the awesome works that spawned from the challenge narrated! If you didn’t finish or didn’t get a chance to participate it’s not too late! There’s no time limit on the dabbles, so feel free to join in!
