More MASH sketches.

Was inspired by this photo I saw on Pinterest. It just screamed Hawkeye lol (Couldn’t find the original source but if you know who took this pic, let me know and I’ll credit)

Idk what it is about Trapper in that tank top but 😳

Inspiration vs art~

I’m really interested in what Trapper’s experience in Korea was like before Hawkeye because we sort of pick up in the middle, right? When the show opens, all the major players are at the 4077 and Hawkeye and Trapper are already friends. And over the course of the show, we get to see how important that friendship is. And then Trapper leaves and we, the audience, get to see what Hawkeye’s life is like after. We get to see the space Trapper leaves in Hawkeye’s life and even the differences in the friendships that follow. But presumably if Trapper goes home first, he was in Korea first (or, at a minimum, at another posting for at least some period of time where he could have racked up rotation points). But we never get to see that. To actually see the impact Hawkeye’s presence had on Trapper. And I find the idea of who Trapper was in Korea before Hawkeye endlessly fascinating because I’m firmly planted on the hill that “you made it bearable” isn’t just about how Hawkeye leans on Trapper, but about how Hawkeye showing up might have brought Trapper back to life.
