I’m watching The 1900 Island on YouTube and I always forget about the really “survivalist, we can do it on our own” family who are price gouging the cost of eggs while a family with five kids haven’t eaten properly in weeks and protest giving “charity” to help keep their neighbors from literally starving.

I thought @mothman-etd was asleep beside me and then his voice just floated up from under the depths of the duvet and said, “the solution here is to beat the shit out of him and throw him in the sea.”

And then while I’m laughing he carries on, “I’m serious. They’re a danger to the community. Price gouging like that? While kids are starving? Just kill ‘em. They’re like chickens that start to peck their own. You’ve got to deal with them swiftly or the whole community suffers. Throw him in the ocean. Fucker.”

What's on February 7th??

there are 2 wolves inside of me. one who wants to say "just you wait." for the drama and suspense. and the other who knows how annoying that would be. anyway, february 7th is when mashblr became aware of an episode of the podcast mashcast in which mike farrell says a whole lot including "bj would walk across the country to spend time in hawkeyes company" and we all loved it so much and maybe went a little crazy. now go listen to some mashcast and give it a good review. oh and its occasionally known as mashblr's november 5th

the thing is when people say a specific fanfic trope comes from supernatural they usually mean "it was invented by the supernatural fandom in a fanfic". on the other hand, when people say a specific fanfic trope comes from star trek, they mean "it was the plot of at least one star trek episode"
