Hiii!!🫶 I love all sorts of phanfics but some of my faves are 2009/early relationship ones, I’m a sucker for a good Jamaica fic or holidays where Dan tags along with the Lesters! Tour fics are also greatttt, definitely a fan of them sharing that bed on the tour bus during the tatinof era and that’s a great segue for some smut as well👀 in general I love fluff and smut and lots of domesticity so do with that what you please<3

hey thanks for clarifying that you were answering that card for each other. yeah thank you for making it abundantly clear that you're implying that "bending over and spreading wide" is a way that phil specifically spends his time and not just a card u picked to be funny. and also thanks for doubling down on the fact that it's about phil whilst trying and failing to come up with innocent alternatives for what the card could be referring to. yeah no that was all really cool thanks guys

One of my favourite ACD stories has got to be The Speckled Band. You'd think it couldn't get any gayer, and yet it does every time you flip a page.

- "we were sharing rooms as bachelors..." Mhm mhm I see what you did there

- Holmes wakes Watson up, again, at crack-dawn standing at his bed like slenderman, and before Watson can really get annoyed he just goes "case" and his boswell immediately replies "My dear fellow, I would not miss it for anything"

- then Watson starts gushing about Holmes and his way of working

- meanwhile Holmes greets the female client essentially with "Hi so this is my boyfriend don't even try it with him"

- they go to investigate the place the client's sister died and Holmes declares: "both my friend and I must spend the night in your [single bed-] room", okay bro

- then they share *one* bedroom at a nearby hotel

- the entire conversation about Holmes worrying for Watson's safety

- them waiting in the bedroom for nightfall: "...and [let us] turn our minds to something more cheerful."

- the entirety of the following investigation

New Sherlock Holmes adaptation idea: Watsondoes a voiceover narration of the story and it frequently contradicts what’s happening onscreen. Sometimes it’s literally just blatant lies. Watson also frequently looks into the camera like he’s on the office. It’s set in the original Victorian era so this should not be possible. He’s the only character who does this.

ACD really dropped the original Angst Hurt No Comfort, and then got bullied into adding a happy ending.

Something I noticed recently is that while Holmes regularly refers to Watson as “my dear Watson” or some variation of that, Watson almost exclusively saves “my dear Holmes” for disbelief when Holmes has done something batshit insane.

It’s the equivalent of your mother calling your full name.
