contrary to popular belief not everyone has an innate sense of internal gender or care to have one or seek a name for it, some people go their whole lives without questioning their occupation in one of two gender roles, but for some people, if pressed, they don’t feel that internal sense of ‘i am a woman’ or ‘i am a man’, and in that case i feel the switch over to transgender vs cisgender relies on active identification of a gender other than the one they were assigned. if someone’s like ‘idk dude I just work here’ then that’s valid

It’s been 8 years, but I still feel like there should’ve made Sherlock’s personal connection to Moriarty like 45% more dramatic.

I think it would’ve been neat to see him being absolutely terrified of him and yet breaking down sobbing when he finally died. Like having a full on panic attack over the idea that he’s back and then turning around and going into a depressive spiral once he realised he actually wasn’t.

Like, I understand there needed to be a Warstan-centric storyline and a plot that involved something new and fresh, but I feel like they should’ve left Mary alive and instead had his drug breakdown in season 4 be because he’s grieving Moriarty. Have his anger at culverton smith be tied up in the fact that he’s not Moriarty and yea he’s just as evil but it’s not the same and Sherlock doesn’t understand why and he hates himself for wishing someone else was smothering him to death and that makes him hate Smith even more.

Have Eurus use the whole thing against him in her psychological torture game. Go deeper into the conflict between his love for his friends and his weird pseudosexual codependency with his One True Villain. Have Magnussen emphasise that pressure point a little more.

They’ve said they felt like they killed Moriarty off a little too early but didn’t wanna pull another fake death scenario to bring him back, but I think it could’ve worked just as well if they’d used the fallout of his death to haunt Sherlock in a more personal way.

(Adding a disclaimer that I know they did do this to an extent, but I’m saying I needed it to be way way more intense lol.)
