in college back in 2018 i still didn't have a smart phone yet and they introduced DUO two-factor authentication and I carried one of the physical "clickers" because I couldn't use the phone app. I remember classmates being unable to participate in class or print assignments at the library even with school desktop computers because they left their phones ate home by accident or their phones died so they couldn't login to their school profiles.
professors started doing those kahoots quiz games for attendance points and I told them I couldn't participate because I didn't have a smart phone.
one of my professors scoffed in front of the whole class and said, "are you serious?" i said "are you going to pay for my data plan?"
he relented because he had to and every single day he had to print out a little physical quiz for me to take while everyone else did kahoots. it was so funny bc it was a lecture hall with like 150 students. he gave up after like 3 times and just counted me present.
at work i refuse to have a single work-related app on a phone they aren't paying for so they always have to order me the physical "clickers" for double authentication and they act like I'm pouring concrete in their shoes about it lmaoo

u know that reminds me of this tweet going around making fun of dark mode users like 'haha do you guys need your books on dark paper' and it's like yeah some people can't read text printed on white paper? regular books aren't accessible to some people for that reason. whats the joke.
#also dark mode is good for sensory issues#too much white on my screen absolutely kills my eyes. it's like someone's tearing them out of my skull#because of how bright the white is when it's illuminated like that#so dark mode means I can actually bear to look at my screen which makes all devices more accessible

#nuance#wishing works but not just like you think it and it happens#it works by you putting intentions/energy out there. at some point you'll be given the chance to act on it.#say you wish for a cat and then a stray cat turns up on your porch a few weeks later you still have to act on that opportunity and let the#cat in if you want the wish to come true#same goes for wishing death on someone#at some point you'll probably be given an opportunity to cause that death because you set that intention and put that energy out there#but you still have to raise the knife or pull the trigger or give them a hard enough push yourself#someone else might do it but it still relies on someone acting on that opportunity#if you don't act on the opportunity then you can't be blamed if that person dies. simple as that#even if someone else acts on the opportunity you can't be blamed for their actions no matter what you wished for#also this is just my own personal beliefs regarding wishes. not any scientific fact or anything like that#still the important thing is your thoughts are not reality unless you make them reality
