so what i'm hearing is that a hypothetical prayer to caliban might be

so if Vash and Caliban share custody - so to speak - of any Ignans who live within the city of Vash, who gets the souls when an Ignan citizen dies? Also smaller question, is there anything specific the Ignans pray to Caliban for in their culture?
Nobody "gets" the souls, per se. Souls dissolve into ambient energy once the body that maintained them dies. But since god souls are immortal, a fragment of the mortal's soul can linger, bound to the god, unless they sever it in a funerary ritual. In the case of Ignans that were Vash's citizens, the link to Vash was generally more cohesive and required the funerary rite to sever. Caliban is a more distributed god of a people, not a cohesive community, so they don't have the same kind of tangible soul-link with their people.
Caliban is generally not considered to be a particularly helpful god. They're kind of more of a weird cousin rather than a parental guiding force. That said, they're revered as a bit of a trickster hero, and can be solicited for subtle aid - but they're not a reliable ally that can be called on, and being treated as something predictable or pliable with gifts is a good way to guarantee the only divine intervention they send your way involves tying your shoelaces together. Ignans don't even pray to them to leave them alone, since prayer attracts their attention. The most consistent way to get their help is some variant on "oh man I'm so lost and imperiled right now, I sure hope I don't mess up or make things worse! I bet only someone really smart and cool could fix this!" and similar lures for someone who likes knowing more and being more capable than everyone around them.

Any queer man in fiction can’t have a healthy relationship. All they know is pining, divorce, cause the apocalypse, wear silly costume, fight they homo boyfriend, trauma, be disastrous, eat hot chip & lie.

Idk there's something really sweet to me about fix-it writers. Like, me and you- maybe we couldnt make it this time, but in another universe, a million people saw the pain of our story and are writing us a happy ending, giving us the chance we never had
