Best Way to Get the Most Out of Your Camera
Tumblr media
Create the perfect photo, which all photographers aspire to.
I have been a professional photographer for the past 10 years. If you want to get the most out of your camera, I can help you on your quest. Here are simple tips you should definitely know in order to create perfect photos.
Adjusting the depth of field:
To get started, you can see in the image below the effect of depth of field. At the maximum aperture (F1.4) of the lens, what is before and after the photographed object is completely blurred. As you decrease the lens aperture, the front and back become more precise.
In fact, the depth of field represents what is sharp in the image. In our image, we have a greater depth of field with a minimum aperture (F22), and the shallowest depth of field with a large aperture (F1.4).
Finally, you must use the "Aperture control" mode of your camera, to be able to control the aperture of the lens and therefore the aperture of field.
Tumblr media
Third party rule:
If you want a well-composed photo, it's suggested not to put the main subject in the middle of the image. The rule of thirds suggests placing them on the lines of thirds, or their intersections. When dividing the image into three vertically and horizontally, the dividing lines are called "third lines".
In addition, all professional photographers know and use this rule. It provides a more balanced image that is more pleasant to look at. It also provides a place to put text, which graphic designers appreciate.
Tumblr media
Make sure you focus in the right place:
First, it is best to focus on the main subject. When it comes to people, you need to focus on the eyes of the main subject. The photo below shows an example of a poorly focused photo.
Tumblr media
Avoid cutting the body parts:
No one looks good with just an arm or a leg. Same thing for your animal, do not cut a paw or tail.
Pay attention to the background:
Watch out for the background, there may be something distracting the attention behind your subject.
Look for symmetry
Try to add movement
Compose with colors:
Pictures with a nice selection of colors are nice to look at.
Use Macro mode:
Macro mode is represented by a small “tulip”. Macro mode is useful for taking close-ups of small objects, such as flowers, insects, etc.
Turn off the camera flash:
Photos taken using the camera flash rarely give beautiful images. They tend to be washed out. On most cameras, it is represented by a small “lightning bolt”.
Photograph during “Twilights”:
The so-called “twilight” are 40 minutes before sunrise and 40 minutes after sunset. They represent the moments when the lights of a city are at the same intensity as the brightness of the sky.
Photograph photogenic people:
In most cases, people who look good physically are therefore also the most photogenic. Posing photogenic people improves the overall appearance of photos. We all want to see pictures of beautiful people. And if you want to sell photos, like I do, it greatly improves their marketing.
Finally,
- These tips will help you improve your compositions, but in order to really get the most out of your camera. In fact, I strongly suggest that you learn to use Photoshop. Today, with digital imagery, it's easy to edit photos. In addition Photoshop allows adjustments and modifications that other programs such as Instagram cannot accomplish.

The city of Paris is located in the Northern part of France, on the banks of the River Seine. With a population of over 12 million people, the French capital is at the heart of the ĂŽle-de-France region.
Paris earned her name, "The City of Light", during The Age of Enlightenment when many visionary ideas were born. It is a light that remained undimmed, and Paris now welcomes 42 million visitors a year, making it the most visited city in the world.
It is easy to get around by metro, taxi or bicycle, but it is on foot that you will best discover the charms of the city. The attractions are numerous and the streets that connect them offer a real postcard decor.
"The engine room" of Paris is La Défense. This modern business district, with a bright and artistic side which shows that Paris cares about the quality of life, even at work.
From the futuristic Grande Arche de la Défense, the 6 mile-long historic Axis of Paris leads us back into France’s grand past.
The Arc de Triomphe, built by Napoleon, rises in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle and offers a breathtaking view of the 12 main avenues which leave the monument like the branches of a star.
From the Arc de Triomphe, the historic axis continues with the Champs-Élysées, where Parisians dine, shop, attend shows and enjoy life.
The avenue gradually opens onto beautiful gardens and majestic buildings before reaching the largest square in Paris, “the place de la Concorde”.
Just a short stroll away is the world’s greatest treasure-hourse of art, the Musée du Louvre. This former 14th century palace is the most visited art museum in the world.
Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo are the most famous 35,000 works from its collections. It is impossible to discover all of the priceless works of art and antiques there are so many in one day.
Not far from the Musée du Louvre , the Pompidou Center has the largest collection of modern art in Europe. The opinions of Parisians still differ on the architecture of this space: is it the work of a madman or a genius?
Notre Dame Cathedral is located on the Ile de la Cité, natural island located on the Seine. Completed in 1345, this gothic masterpiece with characteristic flying buttresses and gargoyles, played a central role in key events in French history and literature.
Parisians strive to fully enjoy life. With its large pond, its orchard and more than 100 statues and fountains, the Luxembourg garden is the ideal place to take a deckchair and rest.
Paris would not be Paris without the Eiffel Tower. The Iron Lady is visible from many places in the city. Once at his feet, the emotion is intense while the view from the top of this emblematic monument is unforgettable.
Tumblr media
To the north stands the Butte Montmartre. Picasso, Dali and Van Gogh frequented its winding streets and narrow alleys at the time when the district was the artistic center of Paris. It is good to get lost in these alleys and find yourself in the shoes of Parisians for a moment. To find your way back to Montmartre, walk up the hill; you will soon see the white crown the white crown of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city by pushing open the doors of Père-Lachaise cemetery. In an atmosphere of introspection just disturbed by the song of birds, here you can pay tribute to Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde and other great world figures resting in Paris. If it used to take a day of carriage to reach the Palace of Versailles from the center of Paris, you will only need half an hour by train to make the journey. This superb 17th century chateau all kinds of visitors, from the head of state to the backpacker.
The River Seine crosses Paris in the middle, creating a natural division between the famous left bank and right bank. Of the 37 bridges in Paris, the Alexandre III bridge has the most elaborate decoration while the Pont des Arts offers incredible views of the city. Artists and photographers flock here to capture the light while the lovers attach padlocks to the fence as if to become one with Paris.
