The cutest thing ever is that Miles and Keiko name their son “Kirayoshi”, a completely made up Japanese-ish name in recognition of Keiko’s heritage and the fact that Major Kira carried him to term. I love it, it’s beautiful, he’s perfect.

Transporter effects day 3: 90′s Trek
The returns of sprinkles! The effect involved stirring something in a big clear container and filming it.
The TNG and DS9 effects for the Starfleet transporter remains unchanged throughout the series. I’ve included the Cardassian one as it was featured heavily in the show, and is just pretty to look at with the gold waves and swirls.
The Voyager one includes three big beads of light a reminiscent of the movie era.
