due to John Wick movie saga timeline nonsense this necessarily takes place in 2014 (with the opening around 2002).

this movie puts a lot of faith in my ability to recognize city landmarks and/or remember exactly the settings of a different movie that's 6 years old. i have no idea where the opening takes place (looks vaguely Mediterranean? and i'm pretty sure they filmed mostly or only in Europe?), then Winston gets there from probably New York, takes Eve to the ballerina school (i don't remember where that's based, eastern europe?), then i guess her contracts are local to start with because she brings the newly cut off hand to the Director, then she travels to New York to meet Winston - or is the school in New York? and then she travels to Prague and from there to Hallstatt. i also don't know where the theater Tatiana performs at is but that's a detail lmao

how long of a trip did john have, coming in on short notice to kill Eve. he seems to have arrived on a local train to Hallstatt? did the crime families dispatch their own train

Tatiana is so funny for being all concerned for Eve pushing herself too hard at ballet, and then pursuing a career as a professional ballerina performing Swan Lake. girl i've seen Black Swan (well no i haven't but i know what it's about)
