And so I vowed not to go back to Paris without love by my side, her finger intertwined with mine as we throw to the depths of river seine the key of the lock we secured in the love-lock bridge .
It was my second time in the city of love, unlike the first one, this was just a quick snap-and-go trip. But like the first one, still without love.
I was travelling with my friends who drove from Rotterdam to France. We just came from Mont Saint Michel and then we drove back to Paris staying overnight outside its central district but close enough to Paris Disneyland where we spend our first day. The next day, we made a quick stop to the center of Paris. Places we visited were Notre Dame, Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur.
It was just funny that all of us are single in a city famous for being one of the most romantic places in the world. So I made a deal with one of my friend, I am not going back to Paris unless I am with someone special. And so, I shall count the days – hoping to be under the Paris sky again sooner

‘Monshamosha’ I taught my friends who are referring to Mont Saint Michel in France. Apparently I am also wrong. It should be read as ‘Mun-san-mishel’, that I learned on my bus ride from Saint Malo.
Mont Saint Michel is UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most famous landmarks in France (other than its more famous rival – the Eifel tower). It is situated in Normandy, France, a place famous for ‘D-day’ for war history enthusiasts. Mont Saint Michel is a fortification since 8th century AD and was a monastery but it was also used as a prison afterwards.
The famous site is an island connected by a coastal way to the mainland. The tide rises at midnight and so if you don’t want to be stranded in the island, better leave before high tide.
There is a free shuttle from a drop off point a few kilometres away from the island. The shuttle doesn’t maneuver at all, as it can be driven either side, so don’t wonder when the driver gets down of the shuttle and ran to the rear of the car, which is not actually the rear when it drives the other way around. There are a lot of restaurants and food stalls in the island. Try their Galette, crepe and rose cider for a real taste of French delicacy!
Reaching the place is easy, you can drive from Paris for about 4 hours or you can take the train to Pontorson where there will be a bus that directly goes to the drop off point of Mont Saint Michel. Coming from England or the Channel Islands, you can take a ferry trip to Saint Malo where you can take the train to Del de Bretagne and then a bus directly going to Mont Saint Michel.
‘Monshamosha’ forget pronunciation, this place will leave you speechless 'Monshamosha' I taught my friends who are referring to Mont Saint Michel in France. Apparently I am also wrong.

On one fine day as my favourite season begins, we had a nice walk into the woods – a place called Bluebell Woods in Guernsey.
I have been to this spot before while cliff walking to Fermain but I never knew how beautiful this place is in spring. The woodland floor became a carpet of blue flowers beneath tree canopy. Truly, having a nice stroll in this part of Guernsey on springtime is a must-try.

Fermain bay is a beach in the southeast of Guernsey. It sits in the base of Fermain valley which has beautiful and scenic cliffs.
Going by the cliff path towards Fermain offer a breathtaking view of the town which is a perfect blend of nice architecture, harbor, sailboats, lighthouse and a castle! You will also see Sark and Herm from afar.
More than the beach itself, the experience itself of walking along paths of greens and bowing branches of trees is enough reason to be amazed by this place.
The pictures below shows the path we take from Fort Road to Fermain Bay.

It was one sunny day when I spotted a racing event in this small and idyllic town. Luckily, I brought with me my Canon 70d so I decided to take snaps of the event. Here is my first shot to street photography
