Hey guys its me and i am here to tell you guys about iris from gamera.....or should i say iris from Gamera: cyclogenesis which is by far my favorite interpretation of the monster from the heisei era with a unique origin story of her being a chimera/frankenstein combination of gamera,viras ( via armored plating on the tenticlancer),zigra, and a prototype gyaos (unintentionally).....the reason for how and why this happen will not be spoiled here...just go see whoatherebigguy and he will gladly explain it better than i can ( since it is his gamera universe after all) i tried to impliment iris design here based on the rough sketches of iris whoatherebigguy has shown me which i will now show you in the images below.

Speaking of whoatherebigguy hw has done the design of my gyaos in his style.

Hello there whoatherebigguy i am curious to know what is iris personallity like in your gamera cyclogenesis au?

Hi! First off, thanks so much for asking about cyclogenesis, its always fun when i get an ask about the stuff im working on! Also, as a bit of a disclaimer, this version of Iris is a very different character from his canon appearance in Gamera 3.

I've got a couple answers to your question, one is longer with quite a few "spoilers", although im not sure if it would really count as that. i'll put that below a cut anyways.

When I write Iris into the silly [non-canon] comics i make, I tend to make them very quiet and introspective, maybe a little edgy. Like a teenager that wants to be left alone.

In the actual "narrative" of Cyclogenesis, Iris never speaks and only exists in physical form for 13 hours. As such, its a little hard to give them a concrete personality. I'd say her main traits are ruthless dedication and The Big Sad.

Long, complicated and spoiler-filled answer:

So... Iris doesn't exactly have a solid personality because she isn't really a character in Cyclogenesis, she's the plot. She is more of a concept than an individual, they don't have time to develop an identity before falling apart. Iris is the eye of the storm and Cyclogenesis is about the events that ultimately lead to her formation. I put a little note on my ref for Zigra that mentioned he ultimately becomes part of Iris, I'm not sure how apparent it is from the limited art i've posted of them, but the other 3 components are: Viras [who orchestrated the whole thing], a prototype gyaos[who unintentionally got caught in the merger], and Gamera[who has the only power source strong enough to power such a massive machine]. Iris is cybernetic in the same way Viras is and her behaviour is mostly influenced by him and Gamera, which certainly causes some internal tension. Iris is probably the most powerful being in Cyclogenesis, unfortunately they're also the saddest and least stable, since they inherit every bit of suffering from all 4 of their components. Ayana does exist and is relevant, but ill elaborate on that later. Hopefully this makes a bit of sense, i know its not exactly a conventional approach to the character.

Joel Miller x Male!Reader

You were exhausted and sore all over. You had broken a rib or two on the way back from patrol. Your goddamn foot slipped on a rock and you tumbled down the hill, only stopping when you hit a tree trunk. You had gotten no sleep the night before and it started raining on your way back to Jackson. You were wet, cold, and fucking miserable as you walked through the gates. You ignored everyone that tried to interact with you on your way back to your room. You saw Joel sitting on your porch, guitar in hand. On any other day, the sight would have made you faint, but with the day you’ve had, the only thing you had on your mind was a glass of whiskey and a good 10 hours of sleep. 

As you step onto the porch, Joel gives you a grin. You would've felt bad if you didn’t respond so you gave him a small nod and walked into the house. You threw your pack down and secured your rifle. You walked back to the bedroom and rummaged through your drawers for your most comfortable shirt. It was a soft navy blue shirt that Joel had given you when you first settled down in Jackson. You found it and carefully started to shed your current cold and wet clothes. You heard the front door open and close as you took off your boots.

Joel appeared in the doorway. You were struggling to peel your wet shirt off so Joel strolled into the room and pulled it over your head for you. You sighed and rested your head on Joel’s shoulder. You closed your eyes and listened to Joel’s steady breathing.

“You alright Tex?”

Joel asked in a low, gentle voice. You stayed silent. You felt as he ran his hands down your side until he came upon the jacked-up and bruised ribs. You sucked in a breath and lifted your head off of Joel’s shoulder. He apologized softly and turned his head to look at your side.

“Jesus. How the hell did you manage that?”

You again stayed silent, instead you turned to grab dry clothes. Joel grabbed them for you and helped you change. You moved to the living room while Joel grabbed the whiskey he’d been keeping in the cabinet and a few painkillers. He sat down next to you and offered you the glass. You accepted it and allowed him to pour you a drink. The two of you slowly nursed your drinks and enjoyed the peaceful quiet. You had laid your head back and closed your eyes. You heard Joel shuffle and get up. As he sat back down, you heard the quiet strumming of his guitar. You lifted your head and glanced over at him. He was plucking a gentle song and humming. He knew you always liked it when he played the guitar.

‘If I ever were to lose you’

‘I’d surely lose myself’

‘Everything I have found, dear’

‘I’ve not found by myself’

The sun was starting to set and your eyelids were starting to feel heavy. Joel noticed and stopped playing. He leaned the guitar against the wall and stood in front of you. He offered you his hand and you took it. He hoisted you up and wrapped an arm around your shoulders. He helped you back to the bedroom. You sat down on the bed and flopped onto your back.

“You know you're gonna have to move right?”

Joel tried to tap on your leg to get you to move. You just groaned and threw an arm over your eyes.

“Come on tex. Move your ass.”

Joel tried again. When you didn’t move, he grabbed your torso and moved to lay you horizontally so he would have some room on the bed. You grunted and rolled over onto your stomach. Joel scooted into bed next to you. You flipped over and threw your arms around him. He attempted to do the same but just irritated your stupid ribs. So he instead put his hand on your hip and allowed you to shift closer. Joel started to sing quietly.

‘I believe’

‘And I believe, 'cause I can see’

‘Our future days’

‘Days of you and me’

The deep sound of his voice, the warmth he radiated, and the whiskey in your system was the perfect combination for the best night of sleep you've ever gotten in your life.

You were woken by Ellie. She was standing in the doorway, laughing. You squinted and looked over at Joel. He was curled around you like an octopus and was nuzzled into your chest. You looked over to Ellie and smiled. She whispered that she’ll come back later. You carded your fingers through his shaggy hair and reveled in the hushed noises he made. He shuffled closer as he started to wake up. You kissed his forehead as he opened eyes.

“Mornin’ Tex.”

“Mornin’ Joel.”

Whats your favorite sonic ship? Mine is sonadow and sonamy

I like Silvaze the most! Sonadow is up there, but mostly just because there's so many fanworks for it, lol

I also like Sonjet, Shadamy, Silvamy, and Wavouge. Espilver and Metamy are also fun

A lot of ships I prefer one sided (Sonamy, Knuxouge, Vectilla)

Idk how I feel about most ships because I don't feel strongly lol

Here it is folks my own personal design of sonic the hedgehog or should i say project lightspeed one of the many creations gerald robotnik did create as well as the biolizard and last but not least project shadow ( aka shadow the hedgehog).

That is my Summary of project lightspeed so far......i will reveal mre in due time in the future but anyways hope you enjoy it and ill see you later.

Poor tails wasn’t bad at shooting the biolizard, shadow just got in the way :p

uhhhh not fully sure yet bc this is one of those really early ideas that isn't fleshed out at all

But like the idea was he revived the species with Tails help to modify their behaviors n stuff, so they're less of a planet eating terror

Can sonic fly in the swap au?

I've been thinking about this since you sent in a previous ask (haven't answered that since I wanted to draw for it)

I don't know yet, since on one hand, I want to make him like Chaos instead of the Chao, on the other parallels with Shadow in gens.

I've also thought about lapis lazuli-ing him and giving wings of water wings, so that's a middle ground

Okay SOOO since this is for the swap/doomed AU, Sonic is a FREAK

Sonic is just doing what he wants, when he wants. Consequences don't matter to him, since he treats everything like a game. When he meets Shadow, he initially treats him like a toy, or a prize to be won. Shadow is initially wary of Sonic and tries to keep distance between them, which Sonic finds entertaining at first, but it gets old quick. He can only humor it for so long until it irritates him. When Sonic tries to push Shadow, Shadow eventually builds up the confidence to push back, so Sonic is actually being challenged.

Not sure how to make it work tho because I want it to be about Sonic learning empathy n stuff but I KINDA HATE HIM LOL like as a person, fun character tho. Maybe he can have a psychological break where he suddenly becomes self aware LMAO

Sonic thinks everything is fun and games, so he's not afraid to do fucked up things, and Shadow isn't really afraid of getting fucked up after he gauges Sonic's real abilities and his goals. Also, maybe Shadow is a bit of a freak too LMAO
