long time ago I promised I'd do dragons so here's one. and I might do more because...they're so cool. and we were so robbed. dragons aren't regular dudes!!! something something dragon riders!au actually the plot of this is very angsty...but so far, it lives only inside my head. maybe i'll expand on it some other time :D

Rewatching supernatural from s1 is like watching an animal be raised for slaughter. Like it genuinely hurts my heart. Sorry Sam, full as you are of anger, and passion, and ambition to fight for a way out, a better life, your destiny hangs over you like the unseen axe head. Sorry, yeah everything you have ever done has been to claw your way out, for survival - you may be in uni now but you're still on the farm. Sorry dude I wish I could get you out of it too but its inescapable, it's IN you, you don't know it yet but it is. Yikes.

Alternatively watching supernatural from s1 is great. Gothic horror, monster adventures and strained family relationships yes please. Let's hunt monsters whilst working out our deep seated issues about our father and how his treatment of us had turned by fundamentally into the people we are now. Yippee.

after several discussions that left me baffled, let me throw this out to the masses: do you look at ao3's icons when you're looking for a fic to read?

I know the genie is out of the bottle and you can't go back but dear GOD I hate the mainstreamification of fandom so much

I do NOT want authors or showrunners or actors to acknowledge us or talk about fanfic or fanart or fan theories! I do NOT want people asking questions of the canon creators and getting them answered (make up your own answers, like god intended!) I do NOT want companies making jokey advertisements aimed toward fandom!

I know that fandom was never entirely underground but like... I miss that fourth wall existing, you know?
