“where is that damned cat...” — it wasn’t liked he missed mona, considering that he would definitely keep talking about putting ren to sleep at a decent time. he would just struggle with any of it, going to sleep earlier despite not being tired at all.

maybe someone could help him with finding his cat. a stranger, mayhaps? ren would not really trust a stranger, though. knowing, that some strangers would not really go for helping a teenager like him, he’d think. it was just a mess.

however, he initiated instead and asked the next stranger that would come accross him. “sorry for bothering you, sir...”, he muttered, “but i am looking for a cat... have you mayhaps seen one?”

it still worried him to some degree, how some of the citizens seemed to be so young. it is perhaps presumptuous of him, but lucifer cannot help but worry; how can they fend for themselves? in eidolon there is no currency so food should not be a problem, and they were all safely accommodated in the bunkhouses upon arrival, but still? children should not be left alone, the world can be a harsh place and ( if possible ) he’d like them all to keep their lights untouched and their chests full of hope ( presumptuous indeed, but he cannot help it ). 

“curry? I believe I never heard of this dish before back home, is it tasty?” blue eyes fill up with curiosity again, head tilting a bit to the side as he heard the boy speaking

“ren, that is a nice name.” different sounding, much like how everything in here was –– but still so pleasant and warm “I’m lucifer, and the pleasure is all mine.” his smile brightened as he motioned for them to start walking, his hands now rubbing his arms a little to keep the frost away. “we should go, it is quite cold today. the tavern must be feeling very cozy now.” 

there were sentiments that were mundane to him; that gave him the feeling of belonging somewhere— it was a sentiment that he had been yearning for ever since he came to that place. lucifer, as he found out that that was the fine looking stranger’s name, sort of gave him that feeling. but maybe it was yet to soon to assume that. 

he chuckled and gave the man a nod. “oh, it is indeed tasty, lucifer-san... depending on how you prepare it, it may be either of mild or spicy taste. it all depends on the taste of the consumer.” he could tell by experience; having cooked curry in his past before, he knew very well what it meant to taste the best of both world. 

with a nod, however, the trickster followed lucifer— to the tavern the fine looking man had beckoned. “then let’s head in, we don’t want to catch ourselves a cold.”

it always confused him a little; how humans spoke and communicated with each other with the most curious expressions. some said things with pigs flying or a rain of daggers, others simply used words he couldn’t understand ( geez, what is that? ) and yet they understood each other perfectly, never once missing the meaning behind each and every strange word choice. lucifer had heard this one before, ‘to kill someone for’ apparently it meant certain desperation over something? he hid a little snicker once the boy saw him, approaching him slowly with a friendly smile

“it is alright, I think I understood what you meant.” there is a pause as he motions towards one of the many buildings by the town centre “the tavern has a very exquisite brew, if I can say so myself. I was going there for a meal, do you want to come too?”   

he sighed in relief, followed by a nod while he sampled the kind stranger. he seemed very gentle and polite, and that was something ren would hardly expect, especially in a strange place like the one he was right now.

the nice offer to go with the stranger made ren feel welcome and he nodded. “ah, i would love to, actually. and now that you mention it, i wouldn’t mind a bite myself... i wonder if they serve curry, too.”

the craving for curry was a bit strange, but he had the feeling that it would merge well with coffee. the craving was there, and it made him feel mundane for a reason. with a smile, he looked at the stranger. “ah, i’m... ren amamiya, by the way. it’s nice to meet you.” 

never did he expect to embrace such kindness from somebody. he remembered when he arrived at tokyo, he got mean looks and expectations left and right, but here it seemed like he was really welcome.

anyways, my name is teddy, i’m 25 and a french trans dude living in germany. i’m born with something we call “french charm” (this exists, thanks to my mom for that), i make a lot of meme references and i’m streaming games on twitch, too! anyways, my current muse is ren amamiya (aka joker, attic trash and akira kurusu) but i have put someone in reserve, yup!

“i’d kill somebody for a cup of coffee...” 

oh, joker. he could not be paying more attention when he realized that another pair of eyes had been piercing him after he dropped that sentence. a coffee would be nice indeed, but killing somebody? he really had to tone down his choice of words. it took the student a minute to realize that somebody had been fixed on him, and once he turned around, he could see the man next to him. “u-uh... hey....”, he muttered, “not... that i would literally kill somebody, don’t worry.”

next time think twice before you speak, joker.

“ah... ann.” it’s the first time he’d see somebody familiar in this place. at leat he’s experiencing relief right now. not that it would have bothered him being the only one in this place; he’s always been a loner type. he does miss morgana though, and he’s a bit sad he hasn’t seen or heard from him. maybe ann knows, he thinks, maybe she knows where my cat is. 

“it’s good to see you here”, he says, “you... haven’t seen mona by any chance, have you?” maybe she does know where the cat is. not that he’s dependent to him, but it feels a bit strange not having the cat around, even though he could be relieved as mona wouldn’t tell him when to go to sleep.
