Feeling inordinately proud of having my first brief, but fully functional exchange in Spanish with the dishwasher at work. Of course I had to look some things up in advance, but she understood me and I understood her answers. I really appreciate this person and I think about the escalating bullshit she faces these days; I'm always trying to imagine some way to be reassuring, or something, and maybe the one thing I can do is learn a little Spanish. How long until we grapple with the fact it’s a fallacy ! My problem with the way things are is like I think indigenous erasure plays a part in the chaos! I think this is like current so it is what it is but obv self reflection sometimes is just as important as looking outward. I’m not a person to believe a whole country is my enemy I’ve played call of duty and I’m indigenous they think they’re seal team fucking 6 and they blow up the world and everyone’s like yayyy and everyone outside is living through unspeakable horrors and we’re attemptively conditioned to see these things as automatically positive and trustworthy not thinking about the motive to not tell you the truth so that you don’t revolt and realize like this isn’t real like the vision is there but we def need to appreciate and give back to native Americans people underestimate how much of American culture is actually really indigenous culture, just rebranded to look like white people made it and we’re all moochers like these things deadass never face them back it’s so irritating learn your place have some respect !! Nobody’s your damn enemy Jim fuck also Donald trumps a settler like I . Yknow . He hates us all cuz he lives a sad life and misses his segregated ‘glory days’ like I .
