Here’s my homepages for Sims 2 and Pleasantview Gameplay!

Spent a lot of time on Notion perfecting them, once I’ve finished updating my Pleasantview Rotation 0 details, I will share templates for them on here (Tumblr) and the Sims 2 SubReddit 🥰

Here’s my setup for my Pleasantview LP! Sorry for being inactive, i've been BUSY:

• Finishing up my notion database ( touching up rules and character & household stats)

• setting up the households and running through pre-scripted events.

• learning SimPe to edit Sim lifespans and eventually destroy townie bella goth in the clean template as she doesn't fit the story (sorry bella xx)

• solving a corruption scare. (I downloaded *a lot* mods from Pleasantsims recommended list. I started setting up the Broke Household and Dustin would NOT go to school + no school bus arrived. Ran Hoodchecker, Clean Pack installer, HCDU with no trace of anything being wrong. Was about to do the full 50/50 method but found InTeen was in the first batch of tested mods. Searched all about InTeen conflicts and installing it safely… and realised Dustin was very close to adulthood in my edited lifespan and a feature of InTeen is teens not having to go to school in the last 5 five days of the life stage 🤡 I downloaded the flavourpak to get rid of it and we’re all gucci now lmao)

Another update on my Notion-based Sims 2 Planner!

I worked out the technical hitches, resolving to only focus on making duplicates of the Sim and Household trackers to put in each Rotation Summary. The Family pages will be updated with their members details as they change (e.g generation number, whether alive or dead, member additions- whether by blood or marriage). I don’t intend to duplicate the Family pages for each rotation- instead keeping the master page for each as I think there is less flexibility in a Family page compared to Sims and Household trackers.

I think the timeframe for completion of the Planner is much shorter than i predicted yesterday! If i keep going at the current rate, it could be easily be done in less than a week! oh the joys of unemployment!

The final step would be tidying the actual game- reinstalling clean-templates and getting the adjustable lifespans mod. Then we’re ready to go 😎

lil update ✨

today i spent a long (but hopefully worthwhile) time designing a Notion planner for Pleasantview gameplay. (this will be expanded to other Neighbourhoods after my first Pleasantview Playthrough with this new method)

with inspo from Marticore’s Gameplay Rules video, I utilised PleasantSims’s spreadsheets that i found on her website, focusing on creating Character Pages so that Sim information is easily accessible wherever you go on the Masterplanner* (an adapted version of Cindy’s original spreadsheet).

in practice this means that you can find, say, on Don Lothario’s row of stats links to the pages of important ppl in his life like Cassandra Goth so you can see all her stats much quicker than scrolling through the rest of the spreadsheet! i’ve also created family and household pages so you can see more detailed information when looking at a character’s family stats than just the name, (think members, number of generations, what household each family member is now in).

The aim is that this will help me create more coherent and focused storytelling that I will be more invested in and thus less likely to drop after a few days. (ADHD is a bitch after all)

my next goal with this planner is to find a way to document each Rotation. my original concept was using the finished Masterplanner* completed with all the stats and variable features as the Rotation 0 template that can be built on with each rotation by duplicating it into new versions that can be saved in each Rotation page (0,1,2 etc) so a greater story will be formed from it!

a problem i’ve discovered from this is that as the duplicates will have edited information it may not fully sync up to the external Household / Family pages, destroying the spreadsheet’s whole USP of accessible information.

this will be worked on- as i’m writing this it’s 2am where i am so hopefully i will have clearer thoughts in the morning.

timeframe for planner completion is unclear but hopefully at most a few weeks- i will share the final results here and maybe on r/sims2 as i’ve always found it a supportive player community.

hey! ive been playing sims since 2012. i've played ts2, ts3, ts4 and simcity (2013) but my favourite is ts2.

my favourite simmers are Pleasantsims, Plumbella, FakeGamerGirl, Call Me Kevin, Marticore, StephOSims, OmgZephyr, TheSimsLore, CrazyMarq, Acidlure, AnotherPlumbob, Juno Birch, to name a few

i was active on tumblr in secondary school but haven't engaged with sims content before and i'm excited to document my gameplay so i play longer (my object permanence is shit lol).

i will be focusing on ts2/ts3 on this account, i like playing towns rotationally as inspired by the great Pleasantsims.
