"The Past Records: The Story of A Merciless, Arrogant Man and An Unfulfilled Promise"

Chapter 1 — The Last Promise, My Mother's Death.

This is only a summary! I won't be translating the full event, not on my main blog @archiveikemen either.

This is a fan-made summary for entertainment purposes, expect some many creative liberties and personal comments. All original content and media used belongs to Cybird.

Jude's father was an immigrant from Ireland and worked at the port. The port was full of rough people, had poor security and was generally a shit place to work at. But having no job was basically equivalent to dying. The worst part was that your job could also just disappear into thin air on some random day.

The story transitions to a scene where Jude's father is yelling about going to work that day, only to find out that he had lost his job. He also complains about it being a waste of his time (went to work for nothing). Jude's childhood home was small, stuffy, and often reeked of alcohol and cigarettes. Likely due to their living environment, Jude and his younger sister had poor respiratory tract health and frequent asthma attacks. Jude's sister starts coughing and lil' Jude tells their father to stop smoking, only for that sorry excuse of a father to slap him and grab his hair when he fell from the force. Jude's father dares him to repeat himself, and of course our little boy goes "all that smokin' must've damaged yer hearin', i'll tell ya what ya want" "ya an idiot for smokin' away like a steam train when ya ain't got any money— * gets slapped*" Father asks how old lil' Jude is, to which he responds "five" and father says that he's old enough to work but can't do that due to his respiratory problems; so he doesn't have the right to complain about their financial situation.

Jude's father continues pulling him by the hair, and Jude's mother intervenes. She holds out some cash and the father takes the cash to go drinking. Lil' Jude sees the money and knew she sold her clothes for money again. His mother was a beautiful english woman, originally rather well-to-do. But her life went to shit ever since marrying this good for nothing. She sold her jewellery and clothes, to the point she had barely anything left to sell anymore and was ill herself.

Mama asks Jude to head outside with her, and she started writing something on the ground with a wooden stick. She teaches him the existence of words, and how to write his name "J U D E". Lil' Jude gets realllyy interested in it and asks how to spell his last name, "Jazza". But instead of answering him, she suddenly hugs her son tightly. She tells him that in this era, one can survive with wisdom even if they're poor or ill; and that he's a smart boy, he'll definitely retain knowledge well. Lil' Jude makes a cheeky comment that the hug is hurting him, and mama responds "you're a big brother. you can take this much".

Soon after, Jude's mother succumbed to her conditions and passed on.

Both her father and brother were out drinking, so they weren't even present when she was on her deathbed.

All he had left of his mother, was her cold and empty bed. He thinks, "ya knew this would happen, didn't ya?" Petting her cold bed, he recalls their very last conversation—

Mama: Jude. ... I'm sorry.

Jude: What're ya sorry for? There's plenty of folks out there who oughta be sorry instead.

Mama: ... I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...

Jude: ... Stop apologisin'.

Mama: ... Jude, I leave your sister in your care.

Those were her last words, and they marked the moment Jude's life started spiraling into a living hell.

Jude Jazza, a member of Crown and president of a trading company. He was an arrogant, merciless, unforgiving villain. He was… exactly the despicable jerk my first impression and his reputation warned me of.

Kate: … No matter who they are, I would never laugh at someone’s genuine dream. 

That night, when we shared things about ourselves that we never revealed to other people— I found myself falling into the depths of love.

As I was crushed by this undeniable truth, a dark shadow crept up on me.

N: So you have nothing to worry about, Spatzi.

He had a soft expression on his face, and while I was worried about those unfamiliar eyes and his fangs,

he invited me to sit beside him, so I decided to do just that.

Kate: So, what brought you all the way here?

Nica: I was thinking you might’ve been bored.

N: You know, seeing as you were told to not leave the room?

N: But since it’s you, I figured you might be worrying about others and all, right?

N: As far as I could tell, everyone seemed fine, and nobody seemed to be in any dire state.

I felt calm from his hand caressing my cheek, and then they lowered down to my chest——

Kate: Huh?

Nica: I realized I hadn’t said it yet. So go ahead and pick one.

N: Do you want a treat? Or a trick?

I was surprised at his sudden words, causing me to pull back.

(I didn’t have any treats prepared though!)

Nica: Could it be you didn’t prepare any?

His teasing voice made me stand up and try to leave.

Kate: I can go to the kitchen and...!

Nica: But you were told to not leave this room, right?

His words and the arms that restrained me seemed to control that.

Nica: And with that, a trick it is.

Kate: Wah——

He pulled on my arm so strong that I lost my balance, and Nica lifted me up,

and sat me atop his knee so I was straddling him.

Kate: Let me down...

I tried to get myself down, but he held onto my waist, so I couldn’t move.

Nica: Well, regardless whatever you chose, I didn’t really need any treats and all that.

We were so close I started to feel shy, and I felt heat rise on my face.

Nica: See, I was right, you really are like a cat. There there now.

This time he tickled beneath my chin like he would do to a cat, and I tried to swat his hand away...

Nica: Ow——

All of a sudden, Nica pressed his hand against his lips and looked down.

Kate: Are you okay!?

Nica: I’m fine, I just cut myself a little...

It was then I saw blood seep out from where his fangs pricked the corner of his mouth,

and while trying to wipe the blood off, he ended up licking some of it.

His lips traced the back of my neck as he took a breath...

N: so let me bite you here.

Kate: Wh—no, wai—ah——

He forcefully bit into me then.

END NOTES: fyi, guten abend means "good evening," and Süßes oder Saures means "trick or treat," at least according to the translation ikevil provided, haha. i always enjoyed vampire stories...! so i think it's nice cybird gave us a story where nica acts like a vampire, hehe.

i haven't translated nica in a hot minute so there were a bit of challenges in how i should portray him if that makes sense, but i hope i did him some justice! i'm hoping maybe i can try to translate his main story when it comes out, so i figured better get a bit of practice in these little bites as they come.

Liam and Ellis are kind of a good choice but again you need to think what to say to them to not make their/your life a nightmare + Liam is more like baby boy for me.

Victor - such a good man, but his tricks and overall daddy personality is not matching for me... Best friends for sure!

Darius and Ring - not sure I'd like/look at them in real life.

Jude - I can't wait for his route, however don't think I'll allow man to speak with me like this in RL plus his SM thing is 🚫. However, I loooove Silvio from IkePrince and if Jude would be more like him....

Alfons and Nica - tbh if I was there Alfons would be my choice due to his easygoing personality and overall looks. However, I'm choosing Nica (even though I didn't like Nokto in IkePrince) due to his looks and kind of vibe I had with Silvio's route that I'd expect to be in Nica's 😅
