Headcanon where whenever Venkman’s flirting attempts fail, a good 8 or 9 times out of 10 it’s because the girl is crushing over Egon and thinks he’s cuter even though he’s showing them literally no interest.
So Venkman’s like, ‘okay. I don’t really get it, so maybe I just need more nerd knowledge in my arsenal.’
So then like a day or two later when they’re all not on a call he goes down to the lab to bother Egon while he’s alone and gets him to start talking about science-y, typical nerd stuff and as Egon’s rambling Venkman slowly realizes ‘damn, i do get it.’
