I had a fic or two that mentioned epileptic Tim in passing, but I don't know much off the top of my head. What are your headcanons for Dick? How do they find out? Does he first start seizing on the operating table as they fish the bullet out of his head or later when he's by himself? Does he try to hide it from Bruce? Babs? Does he beg them not to tell his younger siblings so they won't worry? (Especially Dami?)
OKAY SO
traumatic brain injuries can cause seizures! dick can’t just get shot in the damn head and then just…. be fine. like. that’s gonna have some consequences. serious consequences.
so i see this going one of two ways.
route one: dick seems fine at first, gets up to light workouts with seemingly no trouble, goes up to the watchtower, gets a little too into sparring with someone (roy?), a little bit of dehydration and over-exertion, and, in the middle of sparring, drops and starts seizing in front of Big Important League Members, and roy. roy jumps into action immediately, cause he knows how to handle this, seizures are a symptom of withdrawal too. he takes care of dick and gets clark to call bruce and dick is fine, but now most of the league is terrified to work with dick because what if that happens on the job and something happens to dick? seizure first aid becomes mandatory league training.
route two: immediately post surgery, dick is hanging out in the bunker with damian, just chilling, recovering, and he starts seizing. for all his training, damian was never exposed to this, and doesn’t know what to do. he panics and frantically calls for alfred and alfred walks him calmly through caring for dick until he can get down there and do it himself and dick is again, fine, but damian is terrified, and he seems so much his age it’s scary for everyone else. dick begs them not to say anything to anyone else, it was probably just a one time thing, he doesn’t want anyone to know, so only alfred, damian and bruce know that anything happened, and it’s fine for a while and dick finally relaxes, and then he’s doing something with jason, who’s just started cooperating with them again, and he starts to feel an aura again, and he can just get out an “i’m going to be sick” before he’s throwing up into a bucket, and then he’s seizing, and jason’s got the same experience roy does, knows that overdoses and withdrawals can cause seizures, and there’s a long, terrifying few minutes where jason thinks that dick’s on drugs, and he’s calling bruce absolutely infuriated about the fact that he could have ever let this happen, and that’s when he finds out that dick got shot in the head and then he’s furious no one told him about that, and he and dick have a long conversation about that once dick’s coherent, and he finally tells tim and cass and babs and steph and wally, and all of the important people in his life, and leslie helps him get on some meds to control the seizures and things are okay.
BONUS:
dick, once everyone knows he’s epileptic: yeah, if i start shaking, just put me on my side and let me do my thing i guess, i dunno, it’s fine. maybe call bruce or something. it happens.

Been thinking about how the new Superman movie did a really good job of giving Clark interests beyond “Truth, Justice, and a Better Tomorrow.” He likes pop punk rock. His favorite meal is breakfast for dinner. Clark does a little dance when he gets the front cover byline. He likes to doom-scroll. Unclear if he’s a dog guy. His girlfriend makes him hot cocoa when he’s sad. So often Superman in film has zero personality beyond tortured alien that must guide humanity. Giving him these small details made the character feel so much more real. He really is just a guy doing his best.

Absolutely be political in your worship.
Aphrodite isn't called Pandemos (of All People) so you can sit around and let the big names capitalise love and serve it only to those who can afford to pay past the persecution. Hermes isn't called Oeopolus (Shepherd) so you can sit around and let a bunch of power-hungry wolves lead a flock of influencable sheep. Apollo isn't called Paean (Healer) so you can sit around while wealthy corporations serve healthcare only to those who can afford not to die. Athena isn't called Ambulia (Counsellor) so you can sit around while the people are being fed propaganda against each other to divert them from the real enemy at the top. Dionysus isn't called Eleuthereus (the Liberator) so you can sit around while freedom is only granted to those whose skins have the acceptable colour while the others die in chains. Zeus isn't called Xenios (of the Foreigners) so you can sit around while the borders are closed to those who need it and only open to those who can give back the money.
The Gods stand with the oppressed, and so should you.

People do know that like even China doesn’t have you put in your id to watch NSFW stuff. You just check a box or say yes or 对 and then you’re good. What the UK, Australia and US are doing too extreme for China. That’s how you know stuff has gone way too extreme.
Edit: reblog for reach others need to know!
Edit 2: I’m using China as example because people in the west think that China is just some censorship party where they censor everything and anything. They don’t btw. Edit 4: I should know I lived in China.

I love that Jimmy Olsen is exactly the type of photographer Peter Parker pretends to be. Just bat-shit insane.
Whenever someone asks Peter how he took a picture he's like "Oh! I uh-, climmed a flagpole. Totally"
And very mortal, normal-human Jimmy is like "See, Clark, is not that weird"
I mean, look at this nutjob.

The world could be ending, lava on the streets and Jimmy would be out there photographing away. No powers, no sense of self preservation. Just khakis, a camera and a dream.
I like to imagine Peter meeting Jimmy and immediately being mortified about it.
Jimmy: –and so luckily I was able to take the picture before the building collapsed on me... Superman was super pissed at me but, photographer to photographer, it was totally worth it.
Peter: Right, no– See, this is actually my first time hearing how fucking insane that sounds. No wonder people at work look at me weird.

Superman losing his composure only when people shrug off the lives of others. Doesn’t matter how well he knows them. Doesn’t matter if they’re even human.
He gets upset at the Justice Gang for brutally killing a rampaging Kaiju and not even attempting to find a way to move it or at least euthanize it more humanely.
The only time he raises his voice during Lois’ interview is when she digs into his interference in geopolitics, because people would have died if he hadn’t acted. The only time he yells at Luthor is when Luthor abducts Krypto. The only time he cries is when Luthor murders someone he barely even knew.
He saves a fucking squirrel for god’s sake. We’re so back.

Guys, it got so much freaking worse. KOSA is bad, but SCREEN is even worse, somehow.
"Sen. Mike Lee has introduced the SCREEN ACT, a bill that applies the "harmful to minors" standard used to ban LGBTQ+ books and resources in schools and libraries and apply it nationally to the internet.
Any site that has any amount of material "harmful to minors" would be forced to employ surveillance tech (biometric scans, ID uploads, background checks) to prevent minors from accessing "pornography."
You will not be surprised to learn that this is backed by the Heritage Foundation.
Unlike some of the state age-verification laws, many of which are being challenged in court, SC will be enforced by the FTC, which has the ability to levy fines, raid business and freeze bank accounts. Yes, meaning that even non-for-profits like Ao3 will suffer.
This is something for all US users to keep on their radar. Call your reps, call your senators, and spread the word to protect our archive!"
- When talking with Republicans play up the fact that this would force Elon to implement age verification systems on X (yes do call it X during the call). Elon's been threatening to primary Republicans who stand in his way so there's fear of him. Also play up concerns about "Liberals" doxxing people or Chinese hackers.
- When talking with Democrats, play up the connections to Project 2025 and suggest voters will not be happy to see Democrats siding with it.

Ahhh, the shot of this random guy helping Superman stand up warms my heart.
One thing many modern superhero films miss out on, I feel is the Superhero's relationship to the random people they save. Many MCU films have escalated to the point of numbers so high its unthinkable- and they've lost that personal touch. Moments like this are a visual metaphor for what makes the hero keep fighting, keep going, keep standing up. There's a reason this scene from Spiderman II is one of my favorites ever.

clark shouting "people were going to DIE" in the face of the "think of the consequences of your actions" argument is so fucking important to me bc it really IS that simple you can't look at a genocide and just twiddler your thumbs bc you're a afraid of the consequences ESPECIALLY when you can do something about it and THATS WHAT CLARK DID. WITHOUT HESITATION. WITHOUT CONSIDERING HOW IT COULD HURT HIM. bc hes a good person and in his brain its really just people were going to die so i had to step in bc what else would it be. superman i love you i love you i love you

just saw the new Superman and yknow what I keep thinking about?.. when he’s fighting Luthor’s diversion in Metropolis, Clark is making every effort to isolate it to a relatively open space (the park). damages are at a minimum. but that takes time, it’s not efficient enough, so then the corporate-funded Justice Gang shows up - and oops, suddenly buildings are being swept off their foundations, civilians in direct line of fire, the city core is getting ripped apart. he’s scrambling to save children, squirrels, people caught in the red zone while the others are more interested in punching the big monster. the story makes it absolutely clear that corporations don’t care about life or harm reduction, and in a world in which superheroes are already normalized, this kindness is what sets Superman apart

(Superman Spoilers)
Lois Lane ragebaits Superman during an interview, pours half a container of sugar into about 4 ounces of coffee and dictates an article taking down lex luthor while driving a hovercraft. They nailed her. We are so back.
