i dislike friend inside me/woody theory because not only do i not like old west stuff very much, but also we just had a puppet/marionette style character. why would it happen twice in a row

if the theory ends up actually happening, then i'll shut up, but i think the cancelled cowboy show is related to a scene in the game we don't know about

toby fox also made "you got a pregnant bee" and we haven't gotten a pregnant bee secret boss yet, why start now

It only took her a few months of deciphering the writing, figuring out blueprints and building transmitters.

When she cracked the computer's defense, she had a dream.

"Congratulations on learning basic reasoning!"

The unknown figure that looked so much like her didn't bother to introduce theirself, but they sure asked a lot of questions. About life, purpose, identity. Oddly, this was the first time she stopped to think about these things.

It was fun looking for a way to send a message, but it was good to be alone too, she thought.

spoiler-free undertale yellow review

i finally experienced undertale yellow. took me a long time since i'm not much of a fan of old west stuff, but now that i've gone through it i have a lot of thoughts. to stress, i've only seen pacifist route, which is the canon storyline

but for starters, i'd say 10/10. any criticism i might have would be nitpicky. it was already doomed to a narrative considering how it has to, you know, end, but i think everyone on the ut:y team pulled through and made something special out of it

i cared about it. the characters, the side-stories, the interactions with monsters didn't feel much different from a classic undertale experience. it was so charming. there were occassions where their personalities got a little repetitive, but all around the monsters were well-written

it's truly like an authentic undertale prequel. it was as though, we didn't really leave undertale, it just hasn't happened yet.

there were definetely narrative parallels to undertale, but the story being told wasn't frisk's. that gave the experience so much more value. it went its own direction. while nothing can nab tha spot undertale has in my heart, i have serious respect for the team, and i think their independent adventures are worth following from here

since i'm a designs person, i have to talk about the graphics. because i was gushing over them every step of the way. not only was everything well sprited and animated, but they had an identity that diverged from the first undertale and all the same, 'fell' right in place with the rest of that world

the character designs mostly ranged from being cute, to sick as hell. none of them felt very out of place from a toby fox game. that final boss especially, but no spoilers. there were times where i could tell characters weren't canon, but what's the point of making something without a bit of you thrown in? i see it as a win

from a writing standpoint, i love all the main characters. i instinctively missed some of my favorites from undertale, but the writers managed to create a cast of characters that you can care for instead. that is not an easy task. martlet's been my favorite since the beginning. she's a little birdbrained but she means well and is so cute to me

the next time you replay undertale, and you find that cowboy hat and empty gun, take a moment to tip your hat for the journey before us, and the friends they along the way. so long, partner

i would be more inclined to use tumblr communities if i was given an option to like the posts that are made in them. instead the posts are just little blips on the radar you can only see for a moment and never again. how are you supposed to get invested in that? how are you supposed to conveniently find things shared there like a day after it's been made? it needs work

there's a lot of items the chapter 3 secret boss could be, the discarded flowers, the remote from between the couch cushions, the birdcage, but i hope it's the off-brand game controller under asriel's bed. the idea sounds cool to me and we've already seen hints of an snes-style location in chapter 3 thanks to that lancer sprite + audio from the sweepstakes
