How am I supposed to become something new when I built my life on loving you?
I used to build houses with wood and tiles. I drew blueprints, and land that went on for miles, I told you of my dreams, and I'd start to smile, all the while, not knowing how I filled you with bile.
such a vile thing It must be to grow up, old enough to chase your dreams, and when you get there, none of it is as it seemed.
You've lived your life relentlessly, chasing those names you wrote down with glee.
You filed the papers, then he signed them too, and what a perfect ending for you?
Two, four, and then six babies you called your own, and you had us all so you would never be alone.
Always by your side with bright little eyes, until you wished to crush them in a fight.
Light doesn't fall the same anymore. Your dreams came true, and yet you want more. I have nothing left, and I keep falling to the floor.
I would reach for your hand, but you're clumsy too, and truly, all grown up, I am of no use to you.
