I think the making the bore sin is actually rooted in not working together. In the Rhuidean flashback there's a comment about drilling the Bore being the last time both halves of the Power will be needed. So the mechanism for opening the Bore has to be Saidin and Saidar together, but the goal is to access a power source where you don't need anyone else's help ever again--reflective of the selfishness that the Dark One prizes.

But this is not how the concept of original sin functions into the Third Age with men bearing its brunt. Beidomon was just as culpable as Lanfear but no one is cursing the name of him like they are Lews. Plus the AoL still wanted to work together they just wanted to use the same power source, ironically to overcome communication limitations.
