It seems like the older I get, the more irrationally angry casual censorship makes me. And it isn't just the "unalive" "grape" alleged filter-dodging vernacular, but the way normal words will be peppered with asterisks, or screenshots will have words like "gay" "hell" "fuck" etc either partially or entirely blurred. Who is this helping? What is the purpose of it, except to reinforce shame and elevate a flimsy perception of purity and safety, however those things manifest. It's so tiresome and I'm sick of it.

its kinda insane that hyperstylization of skinniness is seen as artistically neutral but hyperstylization of fatness immediately denotes it as "fetish material". this isnt even to say it can't be fetish-based, but that it isnt allowed to be neutral unlike skinniness where super exaggeration is just an artistic choice, a style, not a representative of reality and presumed to just be another way to depict skinniness in a recognizable way for the artist's style. but if you place emphasis on a fat character's body features in a specific way, it can only be a fetishistic caricature? not a way to explore the shapes of a body or to experiment with perspective or whatever else you might say about a skinny character?

I don't care if your ~feminism~ is ~inclusive of trans women~ I'd like to see if your ~feminism~ correctly identifies that trans women are the primary recipients of gendered violence in the patriarchy, that transmisogyny is the bedrock of misogyny, and that trans women are not an incidental side group to women.

we need to take away "misgendering" from people who dont know any gender theory lmfao. trans girls seeing themselves in fictional characters is not "misgendering" them. it is not "misgendering" to tell a cis boy he might be a trans girl. misgendering is specifically a sociopolitical act of violence to reaffirm & reinforce a cisnormative status quo.

Ultimately the reason I feel that there are so many shitty tboys is because it is within the interests of tme trans people to be assimilationist. On the other hand it’s basically impossible to be assimilationist when your tma unless you’re like really really really rich.

Trans men feel social pressure to be shitty and misogynistic, they are rewarded for being transmisogynist and punished for not being trans misogynists. This pressure ofc also exists within TMA people and that’s why there are trans girls that will participate In transmisogynistic dogpiles/callouts and will attack and belittle other trans women in transmisogynistic ways. But I feel that pressure is much less intense because even if it allows a trans women to temporarily assimilate she will always be thrown to the curve in the end. However with tme trans people assimilation is actually an achievable long term goal and as such they’re much more likely to engage in these behaviors because the rewards are much greater. With the current social pressures under transmisogynistic society is it any wonder trans men act like they do?

This isn’t to try and let transmisogynistic tboys off the hook. Those are still people with free will. I’m just stating the mechanism behind why they act like they do.
