Very irritating that ppl are hating on Vil for "ruining" Rook even though it was made clear in Chapter 6 (I think?) that Rook was not looking after himself and didn't see the beauty in himself (which is not good for self esteem). Yeah, Savanaclaw Rook is pretty, but current Rook is healthier and much happier with himself. And, like others have said, he CHOSE Pomefiore. Vil did not force ANYTHING on him.

Ya'll treat Vil like a mean girl with harmful beauty standards that he blindly follows but you because think Savanaclaw Rook who was, again, not looking after himself or his health, is prettier than current Rook you want him to "stay that way"??? Do you not see the irony???

I've been seeing reblogs and replies to posts from like 2016 going "I wish AO3 had filters" and replies going "they DO!" like... not back then! Filters is relatively new. Especially exclusion, back in 2016 you HAD to hope to god what you included was enough to exclude the shit you didn't want.

the funniest dynamc between my boyfriend and i is the chef/baker divide runs so deep. experimentally my boyfriend is a genius with figuring out what flavor profiles will not just taste good together but also will be enjoyed by the specific audience he is cooking for. a recipe is not a guidebook so much as a suggestion and he will frankenstein ideas together to get exactly what he wants to happen. he also didnt know that sugar will not work properly if you dont mix it with the wet ingredients in banana bread and when i asked 'why didnt you do it in the order of the recipe' he said 'i didnt really think it mattered'. autistically i exploded his head in my mind

and this is why Japanese fandoms BEG you to stop reposting their work, because their laws are different and fandom in Japan is a copyright infringement. Because they can't protect their fanworks in the same way we can. They can get into LEGAL trouble, especially if people think fanarts are canon. Stop reposting fanart!

i feel like a lot of people are forgetting the social contract between fandom and creatives (actors, show runners, etc.) these days. it’s very simple: fandom doesn’t show our work (yes, this includes fanart, not just fanfic) to creatives. creatives don’t go looking for our work, and if they do, they’ve forfeited their right to complain about what they find.
