Let’s just pretend that this is what happened. 

Nick hurried along the small bridge next to the dam, trying desperately to find Madison and Troy. The conversation with Daniel had shaken him to the core, and he had known instinctively that Daniel had not believed him when he said Jake was the one that had brought the horde upon the ranch.

When Nick finally heard voices, he increased his speed, falling into a light jog. He turned into one of the small openings along the dam and was relieved to find them; Troy with the detonator in hand and Madison holding a hammer.

“We gotta get out of here,” he said before they even realized he was there. Both of them looked up at him in surprise. Nick didn’t wait for them to acknowledge him, simply climbed down the small ladder to get to where they were and continued talking. “Okay, Strand sold Daniel and Lola to the Proctors.”

“We have to warn them,” Madison said immediately, and Nick raised his hand defiantly, but Madison interrupted him before he could speak. “No, Victor brought this on himself. He should have come to me.” She was angry.

“No, we can’t,” Nick told her, and his voice turned quieter. “Because when Daniel sees Troy, he’ll kill him.”

“Why would Daniel want to kill Troy?” his mother looked at him in confusion, but he didn’t know what to tell her. This time he couldn’t keep the lies up anymore. Not if he wanted her to realize that they had to get out now. Eventually, Madison turned to Troy.

“I led the horde to the ranch,” Troy said, trying to sound confident, indifferent, but Nick could tell there was more to it. “It wasn’t right that the Indians had it.”

“Indians?!” Madison said, and Nick heard the threat in her voice. “We all had it, Troy.”

“No, not all of us,” Troy replied, and he was getting angry as well. “You exiled me.”

Anyways…. symbrock is canon. And it has been since 1990 when they first considered themselves married and in a relationship.

Uncommon Troy Otto Headcannons ☆

When I mean Uncommon— I mean I personally haven’t seen them, I swear I’m copying anyone. I’m just going off of what I personally thing!! <3

• he’s not gentle. he’s actually extremely sadistic and insensitive, yes he tries but 99% of the time he fails.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

• when in a relationship: he’s more open, and shows his /true/ self. he tries to tone his aggression down but it’s pretty hard to do; considering what type of household he was raised into.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

• even though he’s majorly sadistic and have a minor god complex, he’s extremely understanding. he knows what to back off and give his friends/significant others space and time to themselves.

• he’s insensitive, yet slightly sensitive himself. he ignores his own emotions half the time since they are what seemingly drives him to do horrendous acts.

• he has guilt about mexico. after madison and everyone ‘rebelled’ against him, he realized what he did was extremely cruel and he went to dark and dangerous corners just for his ‘tests’.

• he’s bipolar. most of the time in s3 you see his mood differ and switch, it seems like his personality switches— which is normally a symptom of bipolar signs. but of course — he’s probably not. it’s probably just the sadistic side of him taking over and in the driver’s seat.

• the only person he’s genuinely felt safe around is nick clark. as shown (they are close, you can fight me if u don’t agree) all throughout s3, they’re pretty close. he really trusts nick and feels like he be his authentic self around the male.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

• it’s very hard for him to consider his mother abusive. all he really wanted was to be accepted and seen as a ‘golden child’ which obviously never happened. he was practically tormented and reminded everyday that he was the scum of the family.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

• he’s not dead. yeah yeah, we saw his death— but how do we know he’s ACTUALLY dead..? all we saw was him get hammered, than water flood into the room. someone could’ve easily could him and nursed him back to health, just like what happened to nick and ofelia.

Sadly, I do not know of any of this is true; since it is HEADCANNONS for a reason. I like to think some of these things are canonically correct; but we’ll probably never find out. Anyways.

Being With Troy Otto Would Include:

|| Honestly, this is just pure and helpless fluff. It’s really just headcanons, but it slips into a ‘Romantic’ thing. Anyways, go on.

• you absolutely despised troy when you first met him, always glaring at him.

• only because you heard all horrible things from madison.

• you slowly warm up to him within a span of two months

• it was his eyes that finally made you snap, seeing him come back from a mission with no shoes or guns, hell with no car.

• you were actually worried about the kid

• running up to him after said mission just for him to laugh

• “thought you didn’t like me, sunshine”

• “shut up, take my help”

• you couldn’t deny that was the day that you began ‘liking’ him

• you start dating weeks later

• once you start dating, you realize he’s very touch starved and just gentle, besides his aggressive and aggravating nature.

• you have to calm him down — a lot. having to come behind him and grip his waist tightly. his body would slowly begin to relax. his focus coming onto your hands.

• jealousy — a lot of jealousy.

• especially when you hang out with coop or any of the other militia members, especially nick.

• “so, do you like nick or something? am i being led on here”

• “you’re my boyfriend”

• having to remind him that you like him, and that needed to forgive himself

• jake always worried about if you’re going to be going through abuse at any given moment (it gets tiring)

• “i don’t think my brother thinks im a good lover”

• “well you are, he’s not the one helplessly in love with an idiot”

• that was the day you accidentally confessed your love

• a giant smug smirk coming across his face
