Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 29)
Finally, I used the juice of rotting bell peppers as the ending, added the logos of the poetry club and the school, as well as the ending and subtitles.
Looking back at the finished animation, if I had more time, the animation in many places could be improved, and the background would be better, instead of just a blank piece.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 28)
Finally, the poem ends with "at the back of your filthy fridge." It is a slow and sad ending. I also followed the tone of the poem recitation to create the scene of the bell pepper slowly falling down and finally rotting.
According to the reference I took, juicy vegetables like bell peppers will have a lot of mold juice when they rot. I think they are very impactful, so I wanted the juice of the falling bell pepper to splash out and create an impact.

Regarding the next part of the poem: "and I waited and I rotted." These are two very important plots. I wanted them to have a very thrilling and shocking transition. The first thing that came to my mind was the various close-ups in SpongeBob SquarePants. They are all very vivid and brought a lot of shock and memories to me when I was a child.
At the same time, I also dug out the bell peppers that I had put in the refrigerator for experiments before, and recorded their mold growth as a reference.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 26)、
After the black bacteria in the refrigerator invaded the bell peppers, I wanted to add some internal changes, so I found some reference pictures of bell pepper cells and adjusted the exposure and color of the paintings to make them become shocking after mutation.

Next, I refined the whole bell pepper. I wanted to add something in the dark refrigerator with the door closed to express that the bell pepper was slowly changing (rotting), so I used a rough brush to draw two tentacles (bacteria) that were gradually eroding the bell pepper over time.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 24)
After the dish dream, the next scene is: "well, your tender hands took me in on the fickle whim of a health kick."

I planned to do a scene where I put the green peppers in the refrigerator and closed the door. It happened that the light would be dimmed after the refrigerator door was closed, which also gave the whole picture a darker and more helpless feeling. I shot a reference video of the refrigerator at home and used black bars to show the movement of the refrigerator door opening and closing.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 22)
Finally, I drew a cooking animation of ingredients and spices gathered in bell peppers. I think the smoothness is good. It would be even better if there was a background. I feel that the final dish could have a close-up, but because the timeline is relatively tight, frequent switching of shots may make the audience dizzy.

Here I refined the animation of the green pepper spinning + spice ribbons, as well as the scene of the food being roasted by fire.

After that I refined the animation of the pepper spinning, increasing the number of frames to make it more natural, and added the actual animation of the pepper being cut in half. I referenced some manga about sword fighting, such as Getsuga Tenshō from Bleach.

Then I also refined the animation of scrambled eggs with green peppers, making the two ingredients converge in the sky and shine to become a dish.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 18)
Today I drew an animation of bell peppers being added to the meat from the edge and stir-fried into shape. Although I am familiar with the process of cooking, it is difficult to imagine the scene of the food tumbling from the front perspective, so I found some Japanese cooking animations: Chuuka Ichiban, etc., and drew an animation of two pieces of meat tumbling in the air. Finally, I used overlapping images to create the effect of the food being out of the oven.
This is fried rice from the anime Chuuka Ichiban, please start from 1:50 on the progress bar.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 17)
Today I started to update the animation part where the green pepper fantasizes about turning into food. I updated the line drawing and coloring, and the light effect and shadows make it more three-dimensional. It would be better if the cutting marks were depicted from top to bottom instead of just popping out.d

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 16)
Today I continued to create an animation of bell peppers breaking out of the soil. As the end of this section, I wanted them to grow quickly, and finally the bell peppers emerged from under the leaves. I thought I could make a shot where the leaves spread out to the side, or adjust the transparency of the leaves in the front to gradually blur them. In the end, I chose the latter.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 15)
This week I plan to start painting the growing part of the bell pepper, starting with the reference I found in my previous blog. I darkened the color of the soil to make the seeds more vivid, increased the number of frames, and the color of the seeds breaking through the soil is yellow-green, and then slowly grows into dark green.

Practice 2: Poetry Animation (Blog 14)
Next, I plan to improve this shot in the animation, which is a scene where a person takes green peppers out of a shopping bag. This is also a challenge for me. I asked a friend to take a photo for reference, but the picture is too crowded, and looking back, I feel that the proportion of the person and the green pepper is completely wrong.
I felt that the peppers could not be made smaller, so when I enlarged the person, I discovered that all the details of the person seemed to have disappeared, leaving only the hands. It seemed a bit unnecessary to draw other body parts besides the hands, so in the end I decided to just draw the hands and discard the body parts.
