Hi sorry I know this is kinda weird, I don't follow you but your blog popped up in my suggested and so I took a look and holy shit two things 1) I love your portrayal of Will and 2) you might have written the longest reply I've ever seen in my life jfc keep doing what you're doing

oh my gosh … this is super late (as in two months late aksnkl;a) but … !!!! thank you so much !!! will is one of those muses that you just … kinda wanna get down really badly. i sunk so much time into him & researching aspects of FBI work and reading discussions and metas people have written about him over the years haha. it’s been two months though so, he’s probably gonna be super rusty now but, i’m really really happy you enjoy my will enough to send me a message about it. ♥♥♥

as for the long reply — YEAH … YEAH …. you can blame @manofiron for that one, lol. we have an entire like five story arcs planned out for will and tony and i might get a little carried away when it comes to will & describing what it feels like for him to delve into the mind of a criminal and their crimes, haha oops.

admitting everything he’d done with dr. lecter was not precisely an option, particularly not in present company. the doctor would hardly be keen to broach the matter with anyone, but discussing it with an fbi psychologist would be tantamount to walking right into a prison and locking himself in. the question that will had asked, however, demanded an answer, and if he had not grown suspicious already, he certainly would if jekyll hesitated further. rubbing a finger slowly across his lips, jekyll shook his head and shoved down the sigh rising in his throat.

       “ hannibal’s… a difficult topic, mr. graham. that’s all. ”

“It’s only a couple of questions, Dr. Jekyll. They should be easy to answer.”   Will tells him, with a close - lipped smile that stops at his mouth and goes no further.  “It’s understandable, your hesitance. Many people who knew Dr. Lecter are hesitant to talk about him. Much less see him. ”   Here’s where his smile grows sharp.   “Yet you go to visit him.”  Will’s words, phrased like an accusation, are belied by his tone -- guileless and innocuous. There’s a keen look to his eyes though.   “Why?”

      she  understands  his  quickness  to  reject.  she  used  to  be  the  same  way,  some  days  she  still  is,  but  she  can’t  deny  that  she  needs  him.  they  need  him.  she  doesn’t  push  forward  anymore  than  she  has  too,  a  physical  distance  is  pertinent.    ❝   mr.  graham,  ❞   half  mocking  his  formality,  ❝   i  don’t  need  a  special  agent  or  a  professor  …   ❞    she  offers  the  folder  she’s  been  clinging  to,  inside  being  some  sort  of  detailed  approach  to  their  mutant  problem,  something  melanie  put  together.  as  her  hand  is  forced  to  near  him,  the  wasps  in  her  gloves  get  restless. 

he eyes the folder like it’s a snake ready to bite. it might as well be. fangs it does not have, but it’s poisonous all the same. will’s gaze scatters and skitters away -- to the wall, to the desk, and he sucks in a breath that’s steady but hissing as it travels through his teeth. it finds its way back out through his nose, and his eyelids flutter as he, as always, gives. to temptation, to curiosity, to understanding. will takes the folder, but he does not open it.  “then i really can’t be of any use to you.”   he says, as though it would do anything to sway her. they both know it won’t, and will drops the folder on the desk with a satisfying ‘smack’, adjusts his glasses and angles his body away from hers. 

his fingers brush against the smooth grains, pads twitching as the potential energy builds, eager to exert and change itself into kinetic energy, nervous anticipation at what they might find when they finally flip the file open. but will holds, curls his tongue over his lower lip, and draws his brows. he doesn’t look at sydney when he speaks.  “why are you here, then.”  he knows there’s only two possible reasons why, knows they’re probably laced together -- interwoven as they are -- but he needs to hear it. give peace to the rumblings in his mind to prepare himself for when he’s pulled into something he’d rather not be involved in.
