Struggling at Life. But haven’t given up. God gave me the ability to have the wildest of dreams in the most battered reality. These days it all just feel like a joke that I’ll never have a chance to laugh at. But somehow I wake up for another day. I am capable of being silent as well as speaking volumes. On this blog you will find whatever keeps me inspired, honest, and distracted. Don’t message me unless you mean it. Team 0% BS.

“You humans confuse me. You try so very hard to be as boring as everybody else, and, when some gifted soul is born that has some small degree of uniqueness to it, you beat and break it until it fits into a dull little box that you can understand. Explain this to me, if you please.”

Sorry to break it to you but you literally have to face your fears and slaughter them. Otherwise you will live a small life that you do not want. You literally have to view your biggest fears and attack them head on. You have to fall into the abyss to find your way out. The easy path does not exist. There is no get out of jail free card. You have to allow yourself to die a spiritual death over and over again in order to reinvent yourself into the person you are actually supposed to be. And you have to be painfully honest with yourself and the people around you. It’s horrible but it’s truly the only way.

I haven't been on this site in a HOT minute. But I am still a somewhat passive fan in many things. Including Kpop.
So this New Jeans situation has me shoooooooooooooook! Like I went down a rabbit hole after the live showed up on Youtube and I am flabbergasted.
Point 1: Whether you agree with these girls or NOT, this took bravery. Period. I will commend them for that always! Because if you understand where these girls are at in their careers, you'll understand the ABSOLUTE gamble of that live. No matter the result, I respect them for attempting to stand up for themselves as very YOUNG women dealing with the Korean Entertainment Industry.
Point 2: Did ya'll watch the end of this live? I was soooo shook when those girls went straight English and started talking about demands and a final date! Liiiike, what? I mean...not even western artists are wild enough to have a list of demands and a final date all on YouTube against the label. Brave or really unaware of the legal issues with that. They are not part of a union to be protesting like this and think that HYBE is going to listen.
Point 3: This will have some major consequences! In front of the audience or behind the scenes. The girls are in for a battle after that because HYBE is Definitely going to REACT! I really hope they have lawyers with a clear way out of that contract cause no company will back down for ONE employee. I hope they are very much prepared to try and go independent without HYBE.
Point 4: Art imitating life or life imitating art. If you watch New Jeans music videos, there seems to be underlying ideals in a couple of them. Like something is always a tad off, whether its too perfect or their saying many deep things with a fake eerie smile on purpose. It became the major draw to their group. So its interesting that they are leaning into being bold and controversial, like they predicted that they were going to break down the fourth wall...watching that video now, takes on a whole different meaning. Cause now the world is calling them crazy and Hybe may just lock them up creatively. (insane asyllum), now the online comments really aren't ending. And now they really are going to have to remind the world who they are as artist after this scandal is done, kinda like how Danielle had to remind the members of all the things they have accomplished. Like...watch all of their complete content again with this situation in mind. Eerie goosebumps and thought provoking connections in every video now.
Last Point: I don't think its good to judge their relationship with the people in their lives. We don't know everything. We definitely don't know their relationship with their Ador CEO. We definitely don't know their real relationship with HYBE and no, the public will never know all of the details because of NDA's etc. There are probably clear reasons why their going so hard and even announcing a possible hiatus at an award show in KPOP! Like, these girls are BOLD! But, unfortunately these girls never worked in traditional job markets, so they are about to learn that businesses don't take kindly to PUBLIC Slander, warranted or not.
In the end, I'm rooting for the members to find whatever situation works best for them.

One of the sneaky ways people with secret animosity towards you try to sabotage you is by influencing you to make detrimental choices.
Hateful monitoring spirits recognize your value. They know they can’t tear you down through direct attacks, so they pretend to be in your corner, hyping you up while encouraging you to make decisions that will ultimately harm you.
If you're trying to lose weight, they might try to get you to break your diet or skip the gym because “you deserve it” or “your body already looks great as it is.” If they see you’re close to getting a promotion, they may try to convince you that your career path is toxic and you’re better off quitting. If you want to change your lifestyle and stop being hedonistic, they will try to make you feel like you only live once and shouldn’t “restrict” yourself from having fun.
These people know exactly what they are doing. They are envious of you and terrified of your potential. They sometimes understand what you are capable of more than you do. A real friend is someone who holds you accountable and has your best interests at heart. A hater is an enabler who will steer you towards a path of self-destruction. Don’t mistake smiles for genuine support and love.

This one truly took so long to paint 😭The video recording of the process took 10 sessions instead of the usual 3.
But I'm really happy with how it turned out! I've always loved the impressionist art style above all other oil painting styles, so it's been a blast studying the works of Monet and modern impressionists, and adding my own touch to the skies as well.
The full res image, painting process, and pphotoshop files will be part of July's Patreon rewards!
